Wow. Long time Christian Friends are cutting ties. Its like they have gotten what they want from having relationship with me and are Moving on. I understand that we Grow into and Out Of relationships all of our lives, but this is different. The friends that are cutting ties seem to want to stay in this world for a long time as if they have time. Now that I look back, I should have seen this coming last year. Last year I noticed certain changes in some Christian friends, it was like a wall went up between us as if they were Hiding something. Later I learned that some were involved in Drunkenness and Fornication after I left the US 2 years ago. So I counselled and restored them, but something wasnt right. It was like they were forced to confess and went along with repentance for a while. Now they are down right venomous and cutting ties. Wow anybody seeing this in your life or have a "Word" on this?

1 Corinthians 5 v 11-12 Now I am writing you not to associate with anyone who claims
to be a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a verbal abuser, a
drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat. What business of mine
is it to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside?

from-Ephesians5-3-4.png

from Ephesians 5 verses 3-4 ~ There must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk, or crude joking, which are out of character, but rather thanksgiving.

This is very Painful right now. I led some of these people to Jesus and Discipled some too. Now Im checking myself to see if Im at fault. So I went to the far edge of the Farm and poured myself out.

We know the devil is pulling out all stops now, wearing well to the end will become harder for those who are not strongly rooted.

Judgement begins with the house of God. Lord Jesus warned us that this time would come. There are three kinds of churchgoers: believers, unbelievers and make believers. We can recognise unbelievers well enough. Make believers are more difficult. They know enough to make the right noises and fit in. But they are only pretending. To me, it is a good thing when such people leave.

I had an amazing encounter with God early in my Christians life. I was in the military and we had a fellowship where I was stationed at the time. A few of us got together and had an impromptu praise and worship time. I have rarely sensed the presence of God so strongly. I said that this would sort out the real from the fake or words to that effect.

The next meeting of the fellowship was 14 people. Previously, we normally had around 40. Wow. However, those that remained were full on for Jesus. A short while later, a genuine revival came. People were literally being saved every day. The base chaplain got properly born again and was full of zeal. People were being healed and demons were being cast out.

Statistically, on average around 4% of church goers in the West are born again. This explains why the church is so weak and insipid in so many places. It's different where there is intense persecution. Not many make believers are willing to die for Christ.

Thank you for sharing that testimony!
Do we not start as unbelievers, may go to to believers with or without side stepping to make believers?
The adversary creating the RCC started the error that we need to go someplace for an hour a week to be right with the Creator and did much harm. We still have people "playing church", for an hour a week and believing this is it. The devil goes to every service, he is more regular than most who believe they are Christian.
Sounds like you were in a good group, I would have suspected only 4 from a less dedicated group of broad shouldered brothers.
bless you brother:)(y)

This type of behavior was discussed by Jesus in Matthew 13, in particular in Jesus explanation of the tales:
[Mat 13:36-43 KJV] 36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. 37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; 38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked [one]; 39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. 40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. 41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; 42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. 43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

There is an earlier statement that places matter into a clearer context:
[Mat 13:29-30 KJV] 29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

Romans 2:1-4

Authorized (King James) Version

2 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things. 2 But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things. 3 And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God? 4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

Hebrews 5:12-6:3

Authorized (King James) Version

12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. 13 For every one that useth milk isunskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. 14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
6 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, 2 of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. 3 And this will we do, if God permit.

God permits, by Son , who is risen, here the new life is a gift, thank you for all Lord
