I've been to a lot of churches. And I realize music isn't the most important part of the service. But I think great music really adds to the service and terrible music can put a damper on it.
The Worship Team at the church I most recently attended sounded atrocious. I'm not saying the members of the Worship Team didn't have talent, but they were out of sync and off track. I suggested a backing track to help out. And I even offered to lend them my PA speakers to use as monitors. They're not using any type of monitoring. But I think I may have bruised some egos.
For the record, I never told them they were atrocious.
