Listening to a fabulous talk about fatherhood.... would love to try some of your links to other resources.

I have a small brood of my own, mostly big but still feel concerned when my daughter in Europe cycles to her cool pad late at night on dark rural streets.

I just have one daughter, 45 years old, married, 5 kids.

I would read to her each night, bathe her, fed her, and prayed for her health and well-being. Didn't have much help from my X from first marriage. I would pray for guidance, courage and strength in raising her.

Saw her as much as I could after the divorce. X put me through hell during marriage and divorce regarding my daughter.

My counsel regarding raising children in a Christian atmosphere is to keep close to God and stay the course.

As most people know that have or are going through this process is that it is not an easy thing. It is hard. It is also probably the most satisfying and productive task that you will do your entire life.

Did the best that I could with the time and resources that God provided. Still doing my best.

It's a life-long process.

No regrets.

The Lord has had His hand on my grandson's life seems like forever, in spite of worldly attacks and influences He honored the prayer to impart Holy Spirit and is now walking in the gifts and will be His Own for eternity, he in turn has imparted to his lady friend.
Stay close to the Lord, as we draw near to Him, He draws near to us.
Yes, it is worth it.:)(y)

It seems wonderful and nice. A child is more likely to grow up well with a christian father than with an unbelieving father. My granddad was a christian man, i lived with him for years. His kindness taught me to be kind.
