Hey recently I have felt a bit distant from God. I still worship, pray give it my all but I just don't feel God. There is like no holy spirit in my life. People say ask and wait on the holy spirit but I do and recently I get nothing.

So question, how do you people feel God?
 
I don't know. I'm not sure if you can choose to feel God, but if you are in God's will and you love God with all your heart (Jesus said, "If you love me, you will keep my commandments"), you can really feel a peace from God. Maybe you just need prayer. I've been looking for someone to pray with.
 
Don't depend on feelings though. Feelings can be deceptive. Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? Here's some good verses. Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. II Corinthians 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. I know these verses can be confusing, but I really try to use scripture instead of just saying something since scripture has credibility, and what I say doesn't. haha.
 
The Eucharist. You can't do better than receiving Christ's Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity.

Here's something you can do: :)

Do an evaluation of your life; are there any particular lifestyle/habits that you are engaged in that you know is against what God wants but somehow you are still doing it? If there is/are, have the courage to withdraw from them. If necessary, get a spiritual brother to help you. Learn to pray together and re-dedicate that particular area to the Lord. If you overcome something that is wrong, you will definitely feel something from God; feeling of victory and peace.

And get involved with Christian youth groups. Make friends & encourage those who are depressed and lonely. You will feel a sense of fulfillment and joy that you could touch others.

And listen to praise and worship music to energize your spirit. Sing along with it. You can sense God's presence around you, wherever you are.
