Hi I recently rededicated my life to God since a hurtful relationship.I said some hurtful stuff to my ex and now he rufuses to have anything to do with me. Its been many months now and I just thought that it would have been easier to face the fact that it is over. I've been praying about this but somehow I still feel haunted by this how do I overcome this feeling?

Rejection is a hard thing to deal with, and its been 6 months since I went through my relationship which also led me to a redication. It takes time to get over, especially if they were a part of your life for a long time, its hard to relive moments you have together especially if situations arive. My advice for you I guess would just be to enjoy things, and invest your time in God. Rely on god for assurance and for love. The feeling isnt going to go away instantaniously but prayer is a huge help and God is hte only that can fight the pain.

Thanks for your encourging words they've been a great help. Sometimes its hard to talk to my friends about these kinds of stuff because they still see things through the world's perspective but thanks alot.

my dear friend

Trust the lord because the lord is good he will support you but only when you trust in him....may the power of his light shine upon you always

just know that no matter how big the rejection is ..God's healing will be much bigger !He will heal you hart again true his great power..and just know that when you have faced this problem ..it will make you stonger and once you've feld His strong touch and healing it will bring you closer to him.
much blessing!

I have a favorite scripture I say when I have committed the grief "hurt" or I am grieving for something I thought I had control over or those things also I had no control over.

Romans 8:28 "And we KNOW that in ALL things God works for the GOOD of those who LOVE Him, who have been CALLED according to His purpose." (NIV)

Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to His purpose." (KJV)

Remember these three things are certain: 1) We cannot turn the clock back, it is the past. 2) The present is a gift from God (ie. all of our emotions He allowed or created or caused). 3) The future is His...he pours rain on the just and the unjust.

God knew what you would say and do even before we were born or conceived. He allows us to do things of our own free will. He wants us to love Him wholly of our own free will. Is it not perhaps a good thing that you are in the valley with no where to look but up?

And we ask ourselves what are we called to do according to His purpose? What is God's purpose? For us to KNOW that ALL THINGS work together for good to those who love God. If you love God of your own free will, will this not show in your actions and speech? Today you hurt, and we all cry with you. Then when you share your joy, we all rejoice with you.

I feel your pain, and you have come to a good place to be nourished by your brothers and sisters in Christ.
