Hi! Glad to be here. I have had quite a long faith journey. In high school a teacher got me into the whole New Age movement, but that left me believing in myself. That certainly didn't work. I knew there was a higher power than Me, Myself and I. Then I took a Judaism course in college and became Jewish for just a few months. But I was missing a personal relationship with God. I saw how BIG God is, but not how CLOSE He is. It wasn't until I found Jesus that everything came together. I could finally explain why "I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing.” - Romans 7:18-19. I finally accepted Jesus when I was 30 and have been walking with Him ever since. In my years I've encountered so much adversity, but through it all, I always knew Jesus was there.

Now I'm writing stories about God: children's books that explore all his various aspects, MG Christian allegory and YA where things start to get more messy and complicated. My goal with all of it is to bring young people to a deeper walk with Jesus so hopefully they can avoid what I did in my 20's and 30's. I'm looking forward to learning a lot here (especially about how young Christians think) and hoepfully to be of some encouragement both to believers and strugglers.

I know that nothing good lives in my flesh... For the flesh craves what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. Each of us has become like something unclean, and our iniquities carry us away like the wind. Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? Not one. No one is good except God alone. A bad tree cannot bear good fruit. “What is impossible with man is possible with God.” from: Romans 7 v 18, Galatians 5 v 17, Isaiah 64 v 6, Job 14 v 4, Mark 10 v 18, Matthew 7 v 18, Luke 18 v 27

Matthew 7:24-27
New International Version

24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

Matthew 13:1-9
New International Version

13 That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the lake. 2 Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people stood on the shore. 3 Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed. 4 As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. 5 Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. 6 But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. 7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. 8 Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. 9 Whoever has ears, let them hear.”

John 16:33
New International Version

33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Philippians 4:6-7
New International Version

6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
