Hi. My name is Jay Walker and no I don't jay walk (I get that question sometimes, ha ha)

I just got born again back in late 2023 and have been learning more and more about what this means.

I attend a southern baptist church and some questions have come up that I guess would be doctrinal in nature so what part of the forum should I post the question I have in?

Hey Jay! Welcome to the site, and praise God for your recent experience of salvation!

Honestly, in my opinion, the forums are good for conversation and learning about what another person believes, but if you are serious about learning specific doctrines and beliefs about your faith (i.e. if you want to know what Southern Baptists believe), I would google search and look into credible websites with good sources and not forums, since a lot of what is posted here can be more opinionated rather that factual (this is based off of what I have observed here). Nothing against anyone here since it is a place of free speech (to a certain agree of course), and debates with a sensible manner should be the norm. Just my two cents.

The best forum is the BDF (Bible Discussion Forum). Be forewarn though, the discussions can be heated and sometimes hostile. Glad to have you onboard with us. Welcome to CC.

I'm not worried about any hostility, I'd just like to learn more about what the bible says about things and would like to see references from the bible others can share

Thanks, I'll check out the Bible Discussion Forum

Numbers 6:24-26
New International Version

24 “‘“The Lord bless you
and keep you;
25 the Lord make his face shine on you
and be gracious to you;
26 the Lord turn his face toward you
and give you peace.”’

Welcome Jay, as noted, the BDF nis likely the best place to find answers. There are a variety of viewpoints emphasizing one specific understanding of a passage or another, so you will have to listen to the arguments and decide for yourself which makes the most sense.
