I use to live in Michigan and have been to Ohio many times.

I especially enjoyed going to Cedar Point in Sandusky. Had a blast. Been there 10 or 15 times, most of which was before the park was changed to the roller coaster capital of the United States. Awesome rides.

That was back in the day though and would not care to ride 'em again. Probably toss my cookies.

Glad to have you onboard with us. Welcome to CC.

tourist, I also have fond memories of Cedar Point from further back than I care to admit. But I also have strong ties to Michigan, mostly Lenawee County where ancestors settled in the early 1800's. But I have also enjoyed the Alpena area and Sleeping Bear Dunes.

Thank you for the welcome.

Hi rewriter glad you are joining us welcome to CC! Happy Holydays, God bless you and your endeavors✨

Well first I thank everyone who has greeted me.

Second, I find that I must expand my introduction as I am not used to dealing with Christians who do not know me. I tend to operate in the extremes of apologetics. By this I mean in the realm where the key questions do not have to do with belief, but with how one determines what is true. If the person I am speaking with gains truth from science and rejects the Bible as myth, then we discuss in terms of science and leave the Bible alone until they are willing to consider it. As for myself, I accept what meets the standards for being true as far as it can be determined. Thus, I do not accept portions of the Bible as true that do not meet the Bible's own standards. That means 2 Timothy does not support absolute biblical truth because Paul's authority rests on his claims and the claims of Peter. These Paul's claims are supported by Acts, which is supported by 2 Timothy, a nice example of circular reasoning. Peter's claims are supported by the four gospels and Acts, which gain their support from 2 Timothy, again circular. Now there is a lot of truth present and well supported but also parts of the Bible actually contradict evidence from numismatics, archeology and other ancient writings, including Jewish and Christian ones. These include indicating that Tiberius wanted to make Christianity legal, as noted in correspondence from him but that the Senate disapproved (this is also referenced in Justin Martyr and Tertullian). But even worse, internal biblical statements indicate that official Roman persecution (not initiated by offended Jews or locals but directed by possibly Claudius if it started in 54, the earliest plausible date, but definitely was ongoing under Nero) of Christians began in the mid-50's, clearly before 58. But this was something that Christians could not admit and had to deny. It also explains Nero's actions in 64 as well as all subsequent persecutions.

As a result of this knowledge, which I have confirmed with several Seminary NT professors, I tend to sound much different and have little use for meaningless questions.

Numbers 6:24-26
New International Version

24 “‘“The Lord bless you
and keep you;
25 the Lord make his face shine on you
and be gracious to you;
26 the Lord turn his face toward you
and give you peace.”’

Numbers 6:24-26
New International Version

24 “‘“The Lord bless you
and keep you;
25 the Lord make his face shine on you
and be gracious to you;
26 the Lord turn his face toward you
and give you peace.”’

Thank you, I sometimes need to reminder of God's peace. Now back to proving that Romans 1:20 really is true based on today's science. That God is not only probable but also all-knowing and all-loving, plausibly, again based on provable (experimental) science, all-powerful.

Revelation 21:1-8
New International Version

21 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
6 He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. 7 Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. 8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”
