Thank God he didn't sleep in his all-together! lol

(I also get a kick out of a car smashes into the building next to his house, but his wife has to wake him up anyway. He puts the "deep" in "deep sleeper." lol)

And, whoa! How did y'all end up calling the outer garment pants, instead of trousers, like they do in the UK? (From what I understand, pants is jocks in the UK.)

I'm not sure what his 'all-togethers' are, I assume you're talking about his birthday suit. Yeah, I wish I could sleep like Daniel. :D I'm not sure how we came to call trousers 'pants', but we alternate between the two labels.

Yup! All-together is birthday suit.

A friend of mine in the UK has a blog for her teddy bear. (Bob T. Bear. Google it. His blog is hilarious.) And Bob has this odd way to gain comfort. He frolics in pants. Videos and stills of Bob frolicking, but I'm American and the images weren't big enough to see what it was he was enjoying. Whatever it was, it wasn't jeans. Took me half a year of asking (American to British doesn't translate any better than American to Aussie) to finally get he was frolicking in underwear. lol

And over here a "jock" is an athletic supporter. At least I was smart enough to realize no guy is sleeping in one of those.
:o

BTW, I have yet to decode the difference between a mate and a bloke. And now you both used a new word. "Cobber?" I bet that has nothing to do with eating corn off the cob.

Right mate, pants is underpants mate, pants can also now mean trousers mate.
Jock is a person from Scotland mate! :D

We call underwear 'jocks', 'undies' and sometimes 'briefs'. That's it. That's Australia in a nut-shell.

(Did you catch the pun there yet, or is that strictly an off-color American joke too. lol)

It seemed that everyone was his mate until they did something to demote themselves to a bloke.

Seemed like he was using mate like people from Mexico use 'amigo' or people from Hawaii use 'brudda' or people from the southwest use 'bro'.

If that had happened in the States, the Liberals here would have likely been crying for him to be arrested for indecent exposure. They don't like people trying to stop crime.

In the UK women wear 'undies' Jocks is slang for people from Scotland but there was a brand of Mens Underwear called Jockey Shorts at one time underpants are worn by men generally. What Americans call Pants we call Trousers. Mainly Men call others Mate although it tends to be a Southern English expression the same goes for Bloke.
