I have seen many downpours in my lifetime, but every time I get caught in the rain I pray that the devil doesn't beat me to death in the deluge. Even a modest shower during the daytime makes everything seem unbearable, so I moved to Colorado that it would not be such a harsh reality to deal with as much.
Times have been dark, I went to court for being disorderly on one of those stormy kinds of days, and I still plead with myself to go worship God, not because He is holding out hope for me to arrive, but because if I am not with Him I do not share in his Friendship.
So, being a good friend has helped me innumerable times. I have shared my provisions and food with enemies. I have prayed with a plastic rosary for weeks without knowing the words, and I have replaced it in a sterling silver form.
And now I see clearly, even through the mist of doubt
