While I could wax eloquent here, I will instead post this link. The testimonies are also worth the read.

Here is a link to reduce heart disease God's way.

Here is a little information about the author, Dr. Caldwell B Esselstyn Jr, MD of the Cleveland Clinic. He is 93 years old, a member of the Men's 8 rowing team for the United States which won the Gold Medal at the 1956 Olympics.

I'll list type 2 diabetes next.

I'm not sure I would say it's "God's way," but it does seem to align with the SDA way.

The "SDA way" is based on careful Bible study by the founders of the SDA church and supported by long running studies. Here are some areas where people experience above average longevity.

The Blue Zones are regions in the world where people live significantly longer and healthier lives. The main Blue Zones identified are:
  • Okinawa, Japan: Known for its high number of centenarians and a diet rich in vegetables and tofu.
  • Sardinia, Italy: Home to a high concentration of male centenarians, with a lifestyle that includes physical activity and a strong family bond.
  • Nicoya Peninsula, Costa Rica: Features a diet high in beans and corn, along with a strong sense of purpose among its residents.
  • Ikaria, Greece: Known for its Mediterranean diet and a lifestyle that emphasizes social connections and physical activity.
  • Loma Linda, California, USA: A community of Seventh-day Adventists who follow a plant-based diet and prioritize health and wellness. Here is a link about the community.
  • Adelaide, Australia: Recognized for its healthy lifestyle and community support.
  • Sardinia, Italy: Noted for its high number of centenarians and a lifestyle that includes physical activity and a strong family bond.
These regions share common traits that contribute to their residents' longevity, such as a healthy diet, regular physical activity, and strong social connections.

Feedback would be appreciated, My morning walk is about three miles (depending on my inexpensive pedometer). As I walk the Lord has gently turned my attention to those other people who use the park. Some are elderly and need to stop often to rest, some are massively overweight, (there are quite a few mothers walking their babies), some pause at their car to polish off that last cigarette. My point is these people need to know that they can take control of there own health and do not need to live pill by pill and hangout at doctor’s offices.

Nature’s True Remedies

Seek to understand and apply the healing power found in the natural world:
  • Clean, fresh air
  • Bright, nurturing sunlight
  • Moderation in all things
  • Sufficient rest and rejuvenation
  • Regular, body-strengthening movement
  • A balanced, wholesome diet
  • Generous use of pure water
  • Trust in a higher, divine source of strength
Every individual will benefit from learning how these elements work together to support health—and from hands-on practice in using them wisely.

Harnessing nature’s remedies takes intention and persistence. Healing unfolds at its own steady pace, which can feel slow to those seeking quick fixes. Letting go of harmful habits often means making real sacrifices.

Yet when we commit to these principles and align our daily choices with them, nature moves unhindered to restore and build us up. In time, obedience to these natural laws yields not only robust physical health but a sound, peaceful mind.

Why not give it a quick try today, say walk outdoor for a limited amount of time, in the sunlight (it’s a good time of year for that), drinking clean water and chewing on an apple . . . while spending time with God in your morning prayer.

A plant-based diet is great, and it's what I tend toward most of the time (legumes, grains, and vegetables). I enjoy it immensely and it's fine for the budget. It's also highly recommended like RRCN pointed out. But it's not a Biblical diet, so it may be a hard sell to a lot of Christians. Granted, the KJV uses the term "meat" to reference food in general, but throughout the time of the old testament, other than in times of judgement/famine, there were times of feasting on the flesh of acceptable animals. How the acceptable animals were raised and processed could make a huge difference in whether they are good for our bodies, and the Eternal God gave some great guidelines about not eating certain parts, especially blood and fat, and being sure to burn the entrails.

Our plethora of easy flour/fat/sugar foods is undoubtedly killing us, even if it can all be plant-based. We need the fresh grown kind of plant foods without trying to fool ourselves that cupcakes can be vegan. And we need lots of physical activity, as in six days of working the soil weekly with a full day off of not working.

We have some good dietary recommendations in Scripture. It would probably be better, while it is within our control, to stick to the Biblical dietary laws and adjust our activity level to what works for our intake.

In Romans 14, Paul addresses disagreements among early Christians regarding practices like food and observance of certain days. He contrasts those "strong in faith," who believe they can eat anything, with those "weak in faith" who eat only vegetables. Some believe the weakness wasn't about the act of vegetarianism itself but the fear or scruples behind it. In the early church, some meat might have been offered to idols, and those with weaker faith avoided it to prevent spiritual contamination. From 1 Corinthians 8

Now about food sacrificed to idols: We know that “We all possess knowledge.” But knowledge puffs up while love builds up.
Those who think they know something do not yet know as they ought to know. 3 But whoever loves God is known by God.

So then, about eating food sacrificed to idols: We know that “An idol is nothing at all in the world” and that “There is no God but one.” For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as indeed there are many “gods” and many “lords”), yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.

But not everyone possesses this knowledge. Some people are still so accustomed to idols that when they eat sacrificial food they think of it as having been sacrificed to a god, and since their conscience is weak, it is defiled. But food does not bring us near to God; we are no worse if we do not eat, and no better if we do.

Be careful, however, that the exercise of your rights does not become a stumbling block to the weak. For if someone with a weak conscience sees you, with all your knowledge, eating in an idol’s temple, won’t that person be emboldened to eat what is sacrificed to idols? So this weak brother or sister, for whom Christ died, is destroyed by your knowledge. When you sin against them in this way and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ. Therefore, if what I eat causes my brother or sister to fall into sin, I will never eat meat again, so that I will not cause them to fall.

At creation the food given for man and animal was:
Gen 1:29-30 KJV - 29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which [is] upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which [is] the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. 30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein [there is] life, [I have given] every green herb for meat: and it was so.

Strangely enough Satan when the chance arose to tempt man, it was about eating:
Gen 3:1-2, 6-7 KJV - 1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? 2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: ... 6 And when the woman saw that the tree [was] good for food, and that it [was] pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make [one] wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. 7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they [were] naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

When the flood came God did not add anything to the previous dietary description, the food that Noah was told to gather was also to be shared with all the beasts:
Gen 6:21 KJV - 21 And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and thou shalt gather [it] to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them.

Then after the ark was unloaded God allowed flesh food in the diet, the Bible doesn't say but it takes a while to grow a new crop of food, the meat then would be acceptable for man as God equates it to the green herb:
Gen 9:3 KJV - 3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.

Wonder how the human stomach acid got so high. It's PH level is one step above vultures built for meat.

Alzheimer’s:
A treatment protocol has been developed based on research of Dr. Dale E. Bredsen, MD. He has two books available on Amazon and Audible. If you know anyone that has this affliction this is a great start.
The program is called RECODE Protocol.

I will post a few links for further info which I hope will be helpful. This is all relatively new, the information start appearing about 2017.

Test results from a clinical study

They have even developed an app.

What is Celiac Disease?
Celiac disease is a serious autoimmune disorder that occurs in genetically predisposed people where the ingestion of gluten leads to damage in the small intestine. It's not an allergy; it's a chronic condition where the body's own immune system attacks itself when you consume gluten, a protein found in wheat, barley, and rye. Over time, this damage can prevent the absorption of nutrients, leading to a range of health issues.

Common Symptoms
Symptoms can vary widely from person to person and often mimic other conditions, making diagnosis challenging.

Digestive Symptoms:
  • Diarrhea or constipation
  • Abdominal pain and bloating
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Unexplained weight loss
Non-Digestive Symptoms:
  • Fatigue and irritability
  • Anemia
  • Joint pain
  • Skin rash (Dermatitis herpetiformis)
  • Bone density loss (osteoporosis)
  • Headaches
Diagnosis and Treatment
Diagnosis typically involves a blood test to screen for specific antibodies, followed by an endoscopy with a biopsy of the small intestine to confirm the damage. The only known treatment for celiac disease is a strict, lifelong gluten-free diet. This means avoiding all foods and products that contain wheat, barley, and rye.
