Turmeric has bunch of health benefit as well as ginger. I'm not sure if i should post this on this Natural Health Forum or Heavenly Recipe Forum.. But since this drink considered as healthy drink (and yummy as well) i'll post it here

Ginger Turmeric Milk
Ingredients:
1-2 roots of yellow turmeric
1 roots of ginger
*use powder form if you dont have any fresh roots, but i never try it before so not sure with measurements
1 cup of milk (i use fullcream milk, but you can subtitute with any milk.. almond milk etc)
sugar or honey
cinammon powder *optional

Direction:
1. Clean the roots and slice it and put on food processor
2. Add 1 cup of water and blend until smooth
3. Move into saucepan/pot and bring into boiled 1-2 minutes
4. Meanwhile put 1 cup of milk in a bowl/jar, add sugar or honey
5. Strain hot turmeric ginger blend and add into milk
6. Mix mix mix and its done!!
7. Best serve when its hot/warm :D

Hi Mochi,

How large is the root? Would it be a tablespoon size or teaspoon size. I've seen a recipe similar to this on the internet. This person makes their recipe to add to iced tea. So you drink this straight?

the root's size around finger nail :D
and if you dont like ginger you can reduce the amount of it..
and yes i prefer to drink it straight (after i strain of course)..

There also another option if you want to drink it cold/ice.. but its turmeric+tamarind+rice mix.. I never make it myself (i buy) but its one of my fave :D

Hadn't thought of using this before but it sounds great. Thanks for sharing.

thanks so much for the share, Mochi: hubby and I both appreciate the healing properties
of 'fresh ginger', and have benefited from it in many ways...
