It's quiet now
and the silence is heavy
weighing down my very soul
There is no one around
And I struggle to remember
I'm not alone
I feel empty and grieved,
the sadness is a hole
I risk falling into
If I don't let go
I know...
I know truth
But sometimes it feels like a knife
cutting so deeply
through my already wounded life
I'm tired of bleeding
Where is my hope
Jesus, I can't stand this anymore
My reality is rejection, loneliness, grief,
vulnerability, fear, and deceit
In my world these are what's true of me
Take me, I'm yours,
To where your kingdom reigns
where truth does not hurt
where life is purposed pain
Take me, Jesus,
to where I am free
to be loved, consoled, accepted
honored, sheltered, and protected
This is your kingdom...
Your kingdom is truth...
Let this be my reality
ever dwelling in You
and the silence is heavy
weighing down my very soul
There is no one around
And I struggle to remember
I'm not alone
I feel empty and grieved,
the sadness is a hole
I risk falling into
If I don't let go
I know...
