Alright, when I was a kid I disliked sweet potatoes. In an attempt to get me to like them my mom told they taste like candy.

To this day I hate sweet potatoes!

How about you? Ever have something like this happen?

I was told black eyed peas were good, lol. Ewwwwww, lol.

I just recently told my grandchildren they, sweet potatoes, taste like candy. Super sweet and yummy, no?

Take a couple of sweet potatoes, peel, boil until soft, mix in 1/2 cup butter, 1/2 cup raisins, 1/4 cup Kayro Dark Syrup, and stir well. Top with mini marshmallows.

Tastes JUST LIKE candy

Circus peanuts aren't really peanuts, and anyone who eats them belongs IN the circus. :p:cool:

As a child, I always thought/associated cabbage with garbage and to me it made sense because of the smell. 😂

I still don’t like cooked cabbage, but I do like it raw.

Oh I just got it!!!:eek: At first I thought it must be some American candy or something that we don't get over here :ROFL::giggle:
Actually it is a kind of candy over here in America. It's kind of like a cross between taffy and marshmallow. Never had figured out why they call them peanuts. But they sure are good.

Boiled okra. Just as soon eat snot. My dad loved turnip greens - grew them out in his back yard. One time he cooked turnips and told me they were potatoes. I about gagged and never trusted him again.

Not a wrong description, but a deceiving looking cookie..

"It tastes like chicken."

No it doesn't. Chicken tastes like chicken. Frog legs taste like frog legs. Rattlesnake tastes like rattlesnake. Nothing tastes like chicken except chicken.
Chicken tastes like frog legs. Yes, I have actually consumed such a thing. Chicken tastes like rabbit too.
