Does anyone out there know of any good, honest, respectable, Christian online support group for those who suffer with Fibromyalgia and Arthritis?

There are many support groups on line. My late wife suffered from both for most of her life and for the last few years of her life I was her support group. I am not sure of how reputable these various groups are but you are in my prayers and I will pray that you are led to a group that may be supportive in these two serious aliments. God Bless You.
I have arthritis in my back, knees and hips.. not fun..![]()
Sorry to hear that. I learned Friday when I finally went to the ER hoping someone would look into it for me, they took x-rays, and I have osteoarthritis (degenerative joint disease) in both knees and back, like you, it is no fun at all. I am tired of living in pain and not being able to do normal everyday things, like simply sweep a floor. It is horrible trying to hold down a job and by the time I get home, I am hurting so badly that I don't get anything done at home, nor do I feel like even trying.
The ER gave me a prescription for pain pills temporarily. Like a dumb dumb I went and got them filled, I was hurting so bad that I took one as soon as I got home and then talked with my husband whom was waiting for me online. After we were done talking I got the paperwork out from the meds to read over it. After reading the side effects, I am never taking anymore of them. There are so many, but the main ones I had issues with were, heart attack, heart disease, stroke or possible death. With my high blood pressure and weight gain from all the stress, I am already at high risk for those. I don't fancy playing Russian Roulette with my life. So to make a choice between living with excruciating pain, or take something that could kill me....I think I will suffer with the pain.
I found a website that has a lot of info on my arthritis so I am going to try to handle the pain naturally, watch what I eat, rest, use heating pads when I can and keep my legs elevated when possible. Will really help when I am able to finally quit my job and stay at home. Until then I have to suck it up the best I can and deal with it.
I feel for anyone that has to deal with pains of any kind. I still would like to find out if I have Fibromyalgia too. The ER was not able to help me with that nor could they recommend someone for me to go to. I didn't like that they didn't bother to x-ray my shoulders where I also have pains, they claimed just from feeling around, that I have tendonitis, which I don't think is true. Because I am not doing repetitious moves with my arms, the way she gave an example. I hurt to much every where to move much at all. But, I am grateful they at least took the initiative to look into things for me, which is more than my own doctor was willing to do.
I will keep you in prayer for your pains and for healing. He is the Great Physician, and I would rather rely on Him, than any human any day of the week. He is the one in total control.
ever heard of teen having Arthritis there is a teenage girl at youth group who has a wrist brace due to Arthritis and i find it a bit odd and strange
Turmeric is said to be a great antiinflammatory, so must be helpful and could easily be incorporated into food. It is also very inexpensive where available, just as fresh ginger, moringa or teas of these could be availed.Re: Fibromyalgia & Arthritis Pain![]()
Believer,
hope and pray your days are better and that you are finding the path that God wants you on,

I was going thru some health ctrs in another site, searching for antiinflammatory diets when i passed by an '08post on fibrom. pain. Thought i'd copy and paste a portion for it's long, but it might help some. Just that this thread is on nautral health forum and for members only, so when i have chance to read quickly and not go online, i still have to sometimes just to get to this thread. Maybe 1 on antiinflammatory diets could be started.===============================================

But here:
I did this and it helped my fibro pain from a 10 to a zero in 10 days along with 8 pounds gone. Eat nothing else for 4 weeks except what is on this list and then once done you can begin to introduce other foods to your diet and see how your body reacts. I personally need to stick to this list. And if you don't know...Coconut Oil for cooking is the best...no it does not taste like coconut...actually no flavor at all.
NOTE: each serving must consist of 1/3 protein, 1/3 Fat Source, 1/3 Carbohydrate Source...I have the list broken down in sections by SOURCE.
