feelin not enthusiastic for reading His holy word...

Hey...

Ever since i have accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, i have been even more closer to god and knew that the Holy spirit has been working on me for a time now. I was channeling more into prayer and more into the word. But now and days its like i just dont have the enthusiasm of reading his word anymore and dont feel hungry as i was before... I dont think i havent backslide though, for i have been worshiping him and trying to serve in the holy spirit... I have have also prayed to god to always feel me in everyday, every morning i get up as i pray, but it feels like i get tired easily and just dont have the enthusiasm... im always thinking about the lord and i know that u are not sometimes supposed to feel his presence, but rather... just his love... because through his love, u read his word for more.. and i am starting to fear and worrie alot if he has ever comed in my life... doubting if my heart is really into him...

what do u guys think? thank u..
 
i think that youre just falling into 'routine' of reading the bible.
for me, that is the hardest thing to keep doing.
ill do so good, then ill start to put it off.

i pray that god gives you that enthusiasm and fire back again.
i hope that you grow more in the lord spiritually and emotionally,
ii know you will. keep your head up and focused on god.
dont let satan distract you.

It's simple as dieing to self. I struggle with this too, bro. It's a simple concept, but hard to do. When you don't feel like doing it, you do it anyways. Push yourself to read your Bible and pray more. And at the same time, pray for that excitement and that thirst. We go through dry spells sometimes when we don't feel Him as much and it gets more difficult. But that's the time we should be growing more. He's testing us. And in a way, He's weening us off the feelings we're attached to for just a while. He'll touch us in other ways during this time. Pray you'll see it.

Rebuke fear and worry and doubt in the name of Jesus Christ. You know where those things come from. They'll lead to other things for Satan to get a foothold on.

Seems like you're growing in praying continually! That's awesome and a very powerful habit to get into. A good way to train your spiritual ear is to keep asking God questions in your normal day. Ask Him what your next steps should be and simple choices like what to eat and wear. You'll find yourself much more aware of His presence every time.

the bible is seriously tricky, i know wot u mean. for me, when that happens to me, when reading the bible i focus on tiny bits of it for ages, thinkin of how it relates to my life, really trying to work out why its in there, why God wants me to read it. all of us here will always be here to help ya when u need it, and pleez say if i've said anythin that doesnt make sense haha.
