Favorite Verse Romans 8:32 “He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?”
I've loved this verse for years and now that I fully understand it I love it even more, this is a preservation of the saints verse, it is a definite redemption verse and in it's context it is about God's love for His elect. Reading it in it's context we can see all that was done for us all, us all or God's elect or the Church or His sheep or His bride, whatever you want to be called we can see what the Father did for us and what the apostles did as well, I marked the in red "we" in verse 36. These verses have nothing to do with the world they have everything to do with the saints and how the Father showed His love for us, how far He went and will go for our salvation and how nothing or no one can seperate us from His love for us all. I like the way Paul uses "us all" the same way Isaiah did in chapter 53:6. All of God's elect have gone astray, yet He still gave His Son for us all.
“All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.”
8:31-39 “What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?32 He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?33 Who shall bring any charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies.34 Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? 36 As it is written,
“For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers,39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
