Mine happens to be “The question is not what you look at, but what you see” from Henry David Thoreau. It reminds me of 1 Samuel 16:7 and 1 Timothy 5:1-2 when looking at others.
Do we see a crackhead on the corner or a potential brother in the kingdom? When we see an attractive person, does our mind go to lust or the love of a brother or sister? Also when we see a mountain, do we see an obstacle or an adventure? It’s a daily reminder to look at others the way God looks at them and to look at hurdles as a good time and a learning experience.
