If any of you believe in God, how/why? Not trying to judge I just can't anymore but I would like to.

Hi Soph, welcome to the CC fellowship glad you landed here! I believe in God because I've seen His promises come to life in my circle, I know I'm saved by grace because God doesn't lie and God is love. His Holy Spirit flows through me and out to others, when it may not come naturally for me. I'm an influencer for His truth because He is good. You'll get much more encouragement here as well, God bless you and guide you into His glorious way🌹🙏✝✡

Welcome to the site.
How...by grace.
Why...because I am persuaded that the testimony of scripture is true.

What is the source of your doubt? Were you once so persuaded, but no longer?

If any of you believe in God, how/why? Not trying to judge I just can't anymore but I would like to.

Hello Soph,

I just shared this blessing with someone earlier. This man shares good news with an agnostic. I would pray and ask God for understanding before listening to it. There's a prayer at the end. I'd like to hear what you think afterwards.

If any of you believe in God, how/why? Not trying to judge I just can't anymore but I would like to.

How? By GOD'S GRACE
why? GOD'S intervention

you say anymore? (believe), I am not trying to be presumptuous but perhaps you never really did believe.... there are two kinds of understandings of the words in the BIBLE, one fleshly (earthly definition ) and the other Spiritual Definition, a Spiritual Definition is what you need...Given by GOD ALMIGHTY in/thru JESUS

take comfort that you are here, there are a lot of Christian with a lot awareness of the Bible, & Christians (should be all of us ) that exhibit love....

I would say if you understand your a sinner & your need for GOD, your need for a Saviour (JESUS).. ask GOD for Mercy

is there Mercy for me
Is there Mercy for me
is there Mercy for me

cry out to GOD for Mercy & Help..pray in Jesus name
put you & Jesus in a bubble, pray, read your Bible, watch sermons, go to church, watch Christian movies (I only suggest this to new believers, not mature Christians FYI(fellow Christians))

the Bible says seek & ye shall find, knock and the door will be answered... meet GODS definition of seeking, not mans, that's why I suggest the bubble (you & JESUS) tune out the world until HE Reveals HIMSELF to you,, you will know,, this promise is to all man kind & all creation will be watching ( so to speak)

I will pray for you

this video starts off strong,, I like the beginning, yet as a well known member here Health&Happiness you believe this,,,

it aches my soul hearing such a watered down message.... "even if you commit suicide I will see you in heaven"

..then we say if they continue not to follow us they were not of us.....

smart and understanding are not the same things... I am the foolish things of the world.. and this watered down message hurts my being.....

surprised you promote this....they tell this guy you may never enter a church you may never pray, you may never love, you may never give to the poor, etc...I could go on & on here...

(the so Christian says) "yet I will see you in heaven".....
paraphrased

the Bible says MY people perish for lack of understanding
it is by Grace ye are saved & not of works, lest any man should boast... yet a surface prayer like that... basically just say yes when I prompt you...very weak brother

The Bible tells us exactly 100 times in the gospel of John alone that it's not hard to get to Heaven.
Jesus did the hard part.
100 Times in the true Bible it says believe in regards to Christ and salvation.

It's not of "soft works."
What hard work do you want to add to what Jesus did on our behalf?
"It's NOT of Works best any man should boast."

Well, rather easily.

Unlike what some people make it sound like....
God is a God. Not a mortal person. So your relationship with him is going to be different from one you would have with a people person. God is not a buddy....but I still consider him a really good friend.

And that's where you start. With humility.
The rest? Well that's for you two to figure out.

There's no magic phrases or incantations needed to get God's attention or favor....when you are one of His kids He can hear the silent sound of your heart breaking over the roar of the crowds begging to win the lottery.

He won't be here in person, nor does He do a slew of magic miracles every day to wow people into faith. He doesn't need you or I....He just wants us. We need him though...and that is the reason He wants us....because God is good and kind. And being in a positive relationship with Him is in our best interests. Not His.

Hi Soph, and welcome to the site.

Regarding the "how," even when I was a wicked sinner, God was constantly striving with me through the Holy Spirit. Both in conviction of my sin, and in trying to draw me unto himself through Jesus. When I finally submitted to his strivings, my whole life changed. The Bible calls it being "born again." It is a spiritual rebirth.

Regarding the "why," there are many reasons. As I began to prayerfully read the Bible, it perfectly described me, others, and the world in which we live. There are also many prophecies in the Bible which have been accurately fulfilled, so that gave me faith in the God who gave those prophecies. Every day, I still have some sort of communion with the Holy Spirit who I received when I first got saved. A lot of that communion is God working on me in order to conform me more to the image of Jesus. Other times, it is supernatural comfort. Some times, even supernatural knowledge.

But enough about me.

What is your story? If you feel comfortable sharing it, then I would certainly be interested in hearing it.

I watched this video, and most of the other one... thanks for responding in peace.....

that preacher Knox... he says JESUS says depart from Me I never knew you.. he cuts the verse short.. JESUS says depart from Me I never knew you, you that practice lawlessness.

the road to heaven is a narrow road, and there be few there that find it... this doctrine presumes one can lay his head on the devils bosom, eat from the devils table, spend their time promoting & languishing in the devils kingdom.. and THE GOOD LORD JESUS, will come and say ok bruce say goodbye to the devil and all his demons, its time to come home with Me..... I know you will miss them............ out right foolishness....& I am the chief sinner & foolish things of the world!

GOD in HIS Mercy forgives me for such behaviour. This is repentance, Sanctification in/by GODS ALMIGHTY SPIRIT.
this works that Knox talks about, is very misunderstood.. all my efforts are as filthy rags... I have a KING (JESUS) I am too obey HIM, HE is very Merciful, yet not to be trifled with, turning the GRACE OF
the GOD of Jacob into lasciviousness..

I am sorry brother you and Knox do not understand, you are lost...I am the foolish things of the world, it has been revealed to me, so there is nothing for me to boast about....

pray brother, pray on this matter like your life depends on it, for the truth & in all I understand it does

in love

The context is very clear what Jesus is talking about.

21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

He never knew them.
Why did Jesus never know them?
Answer:. Because they were justifying themselves by their good works.
Making Jesus "Lord, prophesying in Jesus Name, casting out devil's in their deliverance ministries, and other many Wonderful works."
Those were what their faith was in for salvation. They ADDED faith in their own works to faith in Jesus, that's why He said they were working iniquity.

He was talking about preachers who were trusting in not only avoiding the devil as you described, but casting out devil's. He says that He will say to you what?
I never knew you.

Have you ever told a lie?
I know that I have.

I appreciate your calm & cool response, I was not so friendly....I should be acting in love & planting seeds is all we can do, (&pray of course, lead by example if GOD WILL)

I will say this, although I should be using scripture as GOD'S WORD is as a Fire & a Hammer!

works is very much misunderstood, for claiming to go to heaven by ones works....how many people actually say I am going to get into heaven for my good works? then you may say it is behind the scenes, and I might say when one says they do not live as the worse of us it is also implied (yet you did not do this)

.... I am talking about obedience to our KING.... faith without works is dead,,, works grows faith.... prayer grows belief,,,, fleshly definitions of belief will leave us lost..Spiritual understanding of belief will empower us by GODS MERCY....

I simply understand (gifted to me) that I must be obedient and not serve the devil... words in the Bible without Spiritual backing are just fleshly empty understanding..

how can my confusing words penetrate your fleshly armour ( do not be offended, it appears to be common ground)

Lex orandi, lex credendi

the rule of prayer is the rule of believe, or as we pray we believe.
echoed thru time from the early church

simply put no prayer no belief.. I suggest three hours a day..
and after a Month, & GODS GRACE IN understanding, then come and tell me this extreme gospel message you posted, of the most extreme brother... your videos hug the edge of the most liberal beliefs,,,

take care, I believe I am being called to vacate the premises, but it has been fun, and I hope to see you all on that Great Day....JESUS WILLING..

and to answer your question I am the chief sinner, I am the worst of us!

I hope to seek to obey, in works, and deeds to strengthen my faith,,,

yet on that day, nothing on my lips but hallelujah....(as the song says)

nothing but GODS GRACE & THE BLOOD of JESUS!

I will let you have the last word
Peace

if I stay around I will really make an effort not to try and change anyone's beliefs, will be here for mostly friendly fellowship....like I said you can have the last word... I will listen, or at least try,,haha

What do we have when we consider shifting towards this faith? Hang around the likes of us long enough, and you’ll see fine examples of those united with the Messiah. Think of it, all of us gets a fresh start, as God said, is ‘’created new’’. The old life is gone; a new life springs forth with His blessing of joy and peace! Look at it! All this comes from God who settled the broken relationship between us and him by believing on Jesus, whom the Father in heaven sent, and then called us to settle our relationships with each other. God loved the world so much, He sent the Son to die and square this fallen world with himself through Jesus, the Messiah, giving everyone who would believe a fresh start by offering forgiveness of sins. As we remain in His fellowship, God blesses us the ability to be Christ's representatives and co-workers for His kingdom. I hope you consider this carefully. God bless you!

Acts 2:38-41
New International Version

38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.”

Ephesians 4:32
New International Version

32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

Matthew 3:15-17
New International Version

15 Jesus replied, “Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness.” Then John consented.
16 As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. 17 And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”

Luke 1:26-56
New International Version

26 In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, 27 to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. 28 The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.”
29 Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. 30 But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. 31 You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.”
34 “How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?”
35 The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called[a] the Son of God. 36 Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be unable to conceive is in her sixth month. 37 For no word from God will ever fail.”
38 “I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.” Then the angel left her.

Matthew 25:31-46
31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”
