I thought I posted this yesterday, but I must have incorrectly sent it.
Today, when you point out God’s commands concerning man-woman relationships and roles, you are said to be guilty of misogyny, yet many claiming that are themselves guilty of misandry. All 66 books of the Bible are indeed written by men, and God designed and commands patriarchy. Scripture states “men were under the control of the Holy Spirit as they spoke the message that came from God.” 2 Pet. 1:21. The message we have in the scriptures comes NOT from culture, but from God!

And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto (or obeyed) the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in toil shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; (Gen 3:17) [Adam listened to and obeyed Eve, in direct opposition to the obedience he owed God. Such disobedience is continuing in this day.]

(For man was not made from woman, but woman from man. Neither was man created for woman, but woman for man.) (1Cor 11:8-9) [Man was formed first, giving him primacy.]

Let a woman learn in silence with all submissiveness. I permit no woman to teach or to have authority over men; she is to keep silent. For Adam was formed first, then Eve; and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor. (1Tim 2:11-14) [Adam, being ‘first born’ has preeminence. Adam and Eve can’t be equal partners any more than you can have two equal chiefs or two equal presidents, and Paul bases this on the created order, not culture.]

But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God. (1Cor 11:3) [Christ is equally and fully God, but his role in redemption’s plan is subordinate. Similarly, man and woman are equal humans but the woman’s role is subordinate to man.]

Women should be silent in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak but should be subordinate, as the law also says. If there is something they want to learn, let them ask their husbands at home. For it is shameful for a woman to speak in church. (1Co 14:34-35) [Paul claims continuity of God’s law, not his being influenced by culture.]

My people—children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, your leaders mislead you, and confuse the course of your paths. (Isa 3:12)

[Solomon], I have looked for other answers but have found none. I found one man in a thousand that I could respect, but not one woman. (Eccl 7:28) [Proverbs laments the man with a bad wife five times, but nothing about a woman having a bad husband.]

Listen to this, you women of Samaria, who grow fat like the well-fed cows of Bashan, who mistreat the weak, oppress the poor, and demand that your husbands keep you supplied with liquor! (Amos 4:1) [The book of Proverbs also states that finding a good wife is rare!]

Patriarchy is the biblical standard, and to turn that into a negative and reject God’s design for a basic principle of human existence, cannot but help bring full apostasy and ruin, which we are seeing in this day. Look about and see more and more women lawyers, judges, CEOs, law enforcement officers, etc. What would Paul say about all these women in pulpits today?

Gal. 3:28 is about justification, not the roles of men and women! God did put women in leadership at times, but it was his sovereign act. Man is NEVER told to chose or elect a woman for any position of leadership or rule. There were extraordinary gifts of the Spirit seen primarily before the destruction of the temple in 70 AD, but they faded away after the apostolic age and the authenticating of the New Testament. Those claiming the full list of the gifts of the Spirit still exist today have never documented any Christian bringing sight to a man blind from birth, nor has anyone documented a Christian raising a person from the dead, bringing them back to life.

For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion, leading them to believe what is false, so that all who have not believed the truth but took pleasure in unrighteousness will be condemned. (2Thess 2:11-12)

Paul wasn't particularly fond of women.

In the OT women were not one with men,or their spouse. So yes,in a way,it does espouse mysogyny.

There are some Christian women i know that enjoy being lesser to men, obedient to men no matter what, second class slaves, because they think it biblical.

The old wedding vows in the U.S use to pronounce the couple, man and wife.
Women couldn't work, vote, inherit,in this "free" country at one time.
All supposedly based on biblical principles.

Galatians 3:28 teaches that men and women are equally saved.
Ephesians 5:21 teaches that men and women should be mutually submissive.
Genesis 2:22 indicates that Eve was Adam's partner rather than his slave.
Genesis 3:6-7 indicates that Adam and Eve sinned together.

1Corinthians 14:34-35 indicates that there was some law against women
speaking authoritatively, perhaps referring to societal mores of the time,
which deemed such behavior to be "disgraceful" (cf. 1Timothy 2:11-12).

Hopefully, this will not turn into a typical women bashing thread.
I don't know if the appropriate word is 'gynophilia' but, I'm pretty sure that the love of women is what the Bible teaches.

Your statement about miracles and gifts is false. You should get out more. People like Derek Prince moved in healing and deliverance, prophecy and the other gifts of the Spirit. I've been healed by a miracle a number of times and I've prayed for others for healing also.

Kurt Koch wrote a book called "The Devil's Alphabet". He was knowledgeable about the occult. He investigated a revival in Indonesia in the 70's. Amazing things happened, including missionaries stuck at a flooded river crossing. They prayed with their eyes closed. When they opened their eyes, they were on the other side.

Kurt Koch determined that the miracles were genuine.

This raises the issue of why miracles are relatively rare, especially in the Western world. "And He did not do many miracles there, (Nazareth) because of their unbelief." Exactly. And attitudes such as yours keep it that way. I was blessed not to know that the age of miracles was over because I was not trained in unbelief by a Christian upbringing.

I'm afraid that I might as well just ask a Muslim to interpret the Bible for me.

@Jon777 ,

I had to consult a former coworker, a proud feminist "I am woman, hear me roar" socialist, pagan, lezbeen to learn this fancy word. I feel a lot smarter for it, and plan on using it at future dinner parties to impress the liberals with my intellectual powers of inclusiveness.
✊😲 Down with the patriarchy!

How romantic a term.
Wouldn't it be so warm and romantic for your husband to use that word to express how much you mean to him as a woman daily?

It's interesting to think that the Holy Ghost Inspired in the Gospels the account about the feeding of the 4,000 and 5,000 men. We clearly know women and children were present so those numbers could easily be somewhere close to 12,000 and 15,000 human beings Jesus miraculously fed with extremely insignificant portions to begin with.

But the question here is did the Holy Ghost Inspire the Gospel writers to only mention men or was this done by the writers themselves?

Counter point: No one should be allowed to vote. Look at how dumb people are, why should the uneducated public be allowed to decide anything?
