Hello! As a Christian teenage student, there are some scientific teachings in school that aren't in line with what the Bible says. What scientific evidence is there so I can prove my Creator is real through the lens of science?

Hello and welcome to CC!

I could provide you with bits and pieces, but Answers in Genesis has topical articles by the hundreds. I highly recommend their website and YouTube channel for further information. Other good sources include Institute for Creation Research and Creation Ministries International.

If you use YouTube, check out Spike Psarris (not a typo!), Thomas Kindell, and Jason Lisle, among many others.

Check out Dr Stephen Meyer and Professor James Tour. Dr Meyer has written a couple of books debunking Darwinian theory and Professor Tour debunks origin of life research claims. You might also like to look up "Creation Evolution Headlines". Both men are believers, but they approach the subject through scientific arguments, not religious beliefs. Of course, they are vilified and slandered by educators and the science community generally. No one can refute their arguments, insults are all that are left.

There is a vast amount of information available that debunks evolution. Since Satan controls education, you won't find it in schools or universities.

Thanks so much! I've checked out Answers in Genesis before, and they're very helpful!

You can get evidence that points to God, but not exact evidence like a seeing a supernatural ray of light.

So.. archeology will help show Jesus really did die and rose again. Eyewitness testimony of those close to Jesus were recorded not long after the events. But
we can't go back and see the event.

I like looking at creatures that are too complex to have gone thru macro evolution processes.

One example is the Bombardier beetle.

It has two ejection funnels in its thorax. The chemicals go thru them and combine outside the bottle to make a bang.

If they came together inside the bettle..then poor bettle!

So this bettle couldn't have evolved from something else..because its system is too complex to have a part taken out.

The platypus is another example.

Uniquely designed rather than accidentally assembled.

Things pointing to design from God..but not directly seeing God doing it.

True! Thanks for these examples, I can use them when my friends have questions!

I have the paperback book 'The Ark on Ararat' that tells of different groups who've attempted to find Noah's Ark. The best account was by a man call George Hagopian who recalls his uncle who knew the weather, took him up Mt Ararat to see the Arc. He said he drew pictures of it plus other data and turned it in to the officials. They confiscated the papers and sent him back. He didn't do it for acclaim bc he was old when he finally decided to tell his amazing story. I believe him bc he has no reason to make up the story and he and his uncle live in Armenia right by the mountain and were familiar with the exact right time to ascend Mt Ararat. There are vids also of him recalling the expedition and why not believe, it's right where the Bible says it landed. Now the site is being guarded over politics and borders.

I see that you are Filipina.
I appreciate your culture.
One of my teachers for many years was a very famous Filipino. Professor Remy Presas revived the history of the Filipino martial arts and ethnic revival by earning an appointment from the president to implement the island's unique martial art/ history into the public school system and colleges. It is called Modern Arnis. He spread it to the USA and Europe too. It used to be the physical fitness program.

ICR was already mentioned.
It was most helpful for materials defending my faith, preparing for my own creation ministry and argumentative writing class in a secular university. There are so many more books and materials now that it's easy to get overwhelmed. If I were you, I would immerse myself with the books of Genesis and gospel of John. While reading and studying those, I would learn the basics of creation and the fallacies of the dating methods. It's easy to disprove their circular reasoning with the scientific method. Their methodologies are full of misinformation and presumptions.
Avoid any ministry that compromises the literal interpretation of the Bible.
Many misinformed pastors and priests teach the day-age theory.
They use one verse out of context to compromise the rest of the Bible and true science.
It is the religious belief of Theistic Evolution.

Speaking from experience as an evangelist who has been in your shoes, I appreciate your pursuit of learning how to lead others to the Lord, Creator of the Universe.
I found the following principles helpful so maybe you will too.

1. The Bible is the ultimate proof of God's creation.
A. Jesus proved that He was God and man when He created food for multitudes and healed the lame. See the gospel of John, and Colossians chapter 1.
B. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. Romans 10
Debates don't usually get you anywhere. However, the Bible and Holy Spirit have the power to convince those willing to humble themselves to Truth.
This is why we need to decide what the goal is with the target audience. It's usually best to stand resolutely upon the truth in love.

2. Agreeing with Jesus and standing upon the fact of God's 6 day creation pleases the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Even though you might not convince the teachers that their Satanic teachings of macro evolutionism (belief of major changes from one kind to another kind) is false, you live for the Lord first and foremost.

We love those who disagree and pray for the Lord to convince them of the gospel. It also takes people like us to share the good news with them.
There are many things that they might disagree on, but our main desire as Christians is to ultimately lead them to the Savior.

3. The very Word of God, specifically the Gospel, has the power unto salvation to everyone who believes it.
>Good News, the Gospel <
Once someone receives that gift of everlasting life, they should start reading the Bible where they can grow in faith. I was a hardcore theistic evolutionist when I trusted Jesus as my Savior, but it didn't take long before I changed my mind about interpretation of Genesis and origins. This is usually the case IMHO.

4. Seek a good church that teaches the gospel and truth of a literal 6 day creation. Depending on where you live, you may find one on your island. I dont know what church denomination you attend, but I highly recommend contacting This Baptist Church in Manila
and asking if they know of a good one on your island. You have a list of sermons the pastor teaches on your subject, so you have an idea of the beliefs.

Feel free to respond to me here if you have any other questions. Just put @HealthAndHappiness with your note.

God bless you Dandelion

Hello! As a Christian teenage student, there are some scientific teachings in school that aren't in line with what the Bible says. What scientific evidence is there so I can prove my Creator is real through the lens of science?

You seem to have the same questions I had as a teenager 55 years ago, and the answers I learned may be found
in Lesson 1 of our website on The Best Belief (Apologetics). Here is an excerpt:

This discussion shows that everyone lives by faith regarding God or ultimate reality (2Cor. 5:7), and the structure of earthly reality forces souls to choose between various contradictory beliefs and to make (albeit sometimes rather subconsciously) the two watershed choices described: between nihilism and moralism, and between the various atheistic beliefs and the highest type of theism, NT Christianity. (For reasons explained in the next parts, I believe the last is best: Let there be God!)

Part III: New Testament Theism

Atheists claim there is no more evidence for the existence of God, the Creator and Judge of humanity, than for the reality of obviously fictional entities, such as Odin or unicorns. However, four types of evidence or reasoning may be viewed as supporting rational belief in God, although they do not prove He exists: the unique universe, theocentric human history, existential need and moral conscience.

Current scientific theory states that the universe began with a “bang”, when a marble of matter or a singularity of energy suddenly exploded, and that it will end with a “whimper” when the stars eventually fade to darkness. This unique universe theory is compatible or consistent with belief in a God who created the universe “ex nihilo”, who sustains it by His power, and who will judge its moral agents at the end of time.

Current knowledge of world history suggests that humanity descended from one genetic source and evolved into various cultures. Throughout history humanity has perceived deity to be the ground of meaning and morality. Theocentric history reached its apex or spiritual climax with the NT teaching that there is one almighty and all-loving God, who desires all humanity to live in harmony on earth and also in heaven, and who allows humanity to experience earthly existence including pain and disappointment (KOTH) for the purpose of teaching them their need for Him (cf. Heb. 12:10).

Current existential reality indicates that mortals need God in order to obtain immortality, that morality needs God for a universal imperative and ultimate justice, and that the NT offers the best hope that this “duo of desirables” (DOD) or heaven and justice/hell can be attained. Just as physical needs are satisfied by material realities, perhaps our metaphysical needs indicate the reality of supernatural solutions (the God of the DOD).

Moral conscience indicates and logically requires accountability to a moral authority, and the supreme Authority would be God. Paul wrote (in Rom. 1:32 & 2:15) that people “know God’s decree that those who do evil deserve death” and that their consciences “show that the requirements of the [God’s moral] law are written on their hearts.” Our feeble attempts at earthly justice may reflect or serve as evidence of God’s perfect justice. This view is similar to Platonic idealism (cf. 1Cor. 13:12, Heb. 8:5, 9:23 & 10:1). We may perceive perfect justice partially (1Cor. 13:9-12) using spiritual eyes/intuition/a sixth sense along with inference, logic, and even imagination. [Slashes indicate essentially equivalent terms.]

This evidence is not proof, but because this hope and belief are based on evidence and logic, it is rational rather than “blind”, and it is made even more intellectually reasonable or defensible by acknowledging ways God would be disproved, which include the following:

1. If atheists or anti-Christians created eternal life, because the Bible teaches that eternal life is God’s gift only to believers in Him (John 3:16).

2. If the body of Jesus of Nazareth were discovered in a tomb, because Paul stated that if Christ is not resurrected, then faith is useless (1Cor. 15:14).

3. If it were proven that moral free will (MFW) is an illusion, because the premise of biblical morality is that human souls are accountable (Deut. 30:19-20).

4. If human-like beings on another planet had no salvation history involving God and Christ, because the Bible teaches that God is Lord of all (Phil. 2:9-11). (Caveat: If they are included in the Great Commission, their history would be like the OT.)

5. If God could prove His existence to people without abrogating free will (cf. 2Cor. 5:7), but apparently God performs miracles only as necessary to accomplish His plan of salvation (see Part VI).

6. If it were proved that the universe is not created, because resurrection or re-creation presupposes creation and thus a Creator (Acts 17:24-31).

Thus, both theism and atheism are unproven opinions or opposite subjective conclusions requiring faith concerning ultimate reality. However, the NT teaches there will come a time—at the resurrection or eschaton—when the proof atheists demand will be provided, and KOTH will end. At that time theism will be revealed as the right or true ideology as souls reap the opposite destinies of heaven and hell in accordance with their moral choices, beginning with their decision whether to love or to disregard God (cf. Matt. 7:24-27) .

And as you watch, keep in mind that the point of Genesis 1 is not how the world was created or how long it took, but who created it and why. It is concerned with metaphysics rather than mere physics.

There is no reason to believe that the “days” in Genesis 1 must refer to 24 hour periods, because 2Peter 2:8 says “With the Lord a day is like a thousand [or a billion] years”, so it is permissible to believe God created the world using whatever methods taking however long scientific data including what KH cites seem to support.

The earth has been around fro a lot longer than man creation

Genesis 1:1-3

Authorized (King James) Version

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

The light overcame the darkness and on the sixth day man was made, along with Eve

Who knows how long this Earth was here, before man was ever made and revealed to us through Moses?

Satan, evil himself was evil hiding here? Who knows, ir might be a good conception, since science has found this earth to be very old, I think it a possibility, however, I stand in trust to God loves us all. for me to endure bad and good intently, contently Thank you Father, Daddy, PaPa to me by Son doe us all to love all a sgod I see does love us all. Yet not all people do that do they, I at one Time in my life did not love all as I now willingly do and do not like bad things ever even as I see God does not like either 1 Cor 13:4-7,13

Wow! Thanks so much for this! I never thought of the evidence that disproved God could also be helpful to Christianity.

Neither did I until God gave me the insight as well as what I call the Propensity Principle (PP):

The PP points out that until proof is provided in the future at the eschaton, humanity’s existential need and desire for eternal life and ultimate justice (the duo of desirables or DOD) make it logical for truthseekers to have a propensity to hope and believe a God who provides the DOD exists, to determine the most credible revelation of God’s requirement for attaining heaven, and to cooperate with His revealed will. IOW, it seems logical–given the existential facts of death and imperfect justice–that an unbiased truthseeker would have a propensity to hope the Christian view is correct, because there is no better (credible and desirable) way of attaining the DOD than NT theism. This PP restates Pascal’s wager in terms of comparison shopping (with all belief systems) instead of gambling.

The PP employs linear logic (rather than circular reasoning) to propose faith in the NT God as the best belief that solves the maze of reality as follows:

1. Current scientific knowledge cannot explain how the universe came to exist by means of natural causes, thus it is possible that the cause of the universe is a supernatural Creator/God.

2. The most creative species is humanity, whose traits also include language, moral conscience and God consciousness (personality), so it is possible that these human traits reflect attributes of a God who created humanity.

3. Existential reality indicates that humans are mortal and life is painful, but when life is happy, one wishes it would continue indefinitely. Thus, it is rational to seek ways to become immortal in a heavenly existence (where there is love and justice for all forever, the DOD).

4. Comparing all possible ways of achieving the DOD, the best or most credible way/hope at this point appears to be the God who resurrected Christ Jesus.

5. When words from God are sought, the NT teachings of Jesus and Paul seem to be the most highly inspired when compared with other scriptures (including the OT), because its concept of one God as the just and all-loving Judge (rationale for morality) is spiritually highest or most advanced, and the evidence for the resurrection of Jesus is most credible.

6. Thus, it is appropriate or wise to believe in the NT God and to accept Jesus as God’s Messiah.

Atheists deny the validity of this argument, but in the absence of disproof, I find the decision to reject the biblical gospel of salvation from selfishness, spiritual death, and a miserable destiny to be illogical or foolish. This is why all truthseekers should agree on NT theism now rather than assume atheism is an unlucky guess.

As someone has said, heaven is like a vision of water in the desert: the scoffer will surely die where he/she is, while the believer will live if right. Again, however, this analogy should be viewed in terms of comparison shopping and logic rather than of blind faith and fear. True love for God is evoked by His love for humanity and is a reflection of His loving Holy Spirit (1John 4:7-12); it cannot be coerced, although it can be imitated (2Cor. 11:14 calls Satan an “angel of light”). Heaven may not be a mirage!
