So I write my posts in Microsoft word as it types smoother but it won't let me paste it on this site. Or if I copy a reference or quote it won't work either.

Not sure. I use Notepad sometimes and it works okay. Is there a right-click option in Word to copy as plain text? That might work. Or when you go to paste here, try Ctrl+Shift+V, that will paste as plain text.
