. Well this is the forum which you seem to have figured out already, so I guess you are more wondering about the chat side of things.
First: Click on the "Chat Rooms" link at the top
Second: just under the donate banner you will see 3 drop down boxes, choose the options that are for you(for example high speed OR dialup).
Third: Click the Chat Now button, this should pop open another browser window. If you get the window but nothing in it you will need to go to adobe.com and download the most up to date version of Adobe Flash Player.
