Is going to church regularly makes one a christian? I just want to hear your thoughts....... God bless

You go to church to fellowship with other Christians. To be part of the body of Christ. To serve, to give.

But going to church doesn't make you a christian. To be a Christian one must accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. One must truly understand that they are a sinner and in need of a savior and repent with their whole heart. They must put Jesus first in their life, above everyone and everything, including their own agendas.

When you do this, you will begin a life long relationship with the our God. Pray to God, talk to him. It's not about religion and praying a certain way. He loves us and he wants us to love him with our whole heart and mind. Some pray for an hour at a time. I just talk to God and pray all day. There is no formula, it's just love.

There are professors and posessors, and these do not mix just like oil and water does not mix. Or new wine in old wineskins, because the new wine will ferment and stretch out the old wineskin that has already been stretched out and break and lose the new wine.
Kind of like when we are tired, tried to do all that is right and can't cut the mustard, yet act out to everyone else as if we got it together, is a professor, and lost
Need of the new and God is the one that gives it, not in our flesh that is stretched out like old wineskins, rather in our new born again Spirit given to us by the resurrection, if there is no resurredction then we are to be pitied of all people and there is no gift, if Christ has not risen, then there is no life, for death does not bring life nor give life, only the resurrected Christ does and has to all that beleive what he did at the cross for the whole world, so do you beleive God or not, that is the only thing God left for us is to choose, God has taken care of all the rest fro us all, just waiting for us to change our minds. God knows whether you beleive and is between God and you, no one else. And you can say you believe and not, for me I just believe God.

The answer is NO !! You can go to church but outside you can live like devil. True christian doesn't defined your church attendance. True christian can be seen through his Fruits.

Definitely, going to Church regularly doesn't make one a Christian. But I would say, going to Church regularly is a characteristic of a healthy Christian.


You obviously don't go to McDonalds thinking you would become hamburger someday. You go to Mcdonalds to eat, to feed your belly, to satisfy your hunger.
And so is going to Church, but it's feeding your spiritual hunger, your hunger for fellowship with other Christians. Going to Church regularly, listening to Christian music doesn't define you as a Christian, but it became one of the characteristics of a Christian.


Healthy Christians doesn't mean perfect Christians.
We all have our own weaknesses, we all have our own individual struggles and would take our zeal to fellowship with others but I've seen Christians who, despite of all their struggles can still come happily at the meeting. Christians who chose to be overcomers with their emotions. Church meetings should be one of the things we are anticipating to come rather than a burden that we feel we are obliged to do.


I know there are a lot who used to go to Church regularly but living the other way. I won't judge them and again we all have our own weaknesses. I believe God is still working in each of us and their transformation isn't my business, it is God's business. My business is my own transformation.


I am talking about here Christians who have all the chances of going to Church but opted not to, and just making excuses. I know there are Christians who have all the desire to go but the circumstances doesn't allow them to.

Unfortunately, what happens to a lot of people, they go where it is happening, drawn by secular things in and of this world. I am not saying these things are necessarily bad, but need distinction.
I was deaf, and walked into an assembly to check it out, I saw a man to the right, tapping his legs, moviing his head and mouth. So as I watched not being able to hear, I started imitiating him, until I got it down. Now later I realized not to imitate any one else, not even Christ.
You say WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, I say yep, Christ's walk Christ's Babtism is not mine, I am not Babtized by God thorugh Christ to go to a cross, I am babtized to love as God showed through the cross of Christ mainly the resurrection.
So instead of imitating Christ, which I can't do a perfect Job at that, but I can look awfully good at trying and get many patson the back for it, and did one time in my past as I did quite well at imitating Christ.
Then one day I asked after going through some ordeal, in feeling guilty and asking for forgiveness, over and over, this was over getting angry.
I was asked which Jesus Christ did you accept into your heart?
I said what, there is onlyone Jesus Christ, looking at this man in absurdity, appauled at this question
Then he said NO, I am asking you if you asked the one that you are trying to imitate that you are having so much trouble with imitating and are stressed out over it?
Or the one that not only wants to live in you, but more importantly through you, by your choice, God does not interfer in ones free choice, so which one?
What a life change ever since, what a differance, hope you see it too!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for your response, and maybe now if not already you will respond to God first and foremost by what God has, past tense already done for you via the cross of Christ. And one does not have to go to Church to know God. Just the want to know God, is enough for God to reveal god to you if God has not done so already for you. I suggest to go to God with the below in mind. But go wiht what you want and be honest to God, I think God can take it, even if it is anger, God is MERCY

I see three things that God requires, out of the first testament of God, and today after the cross I see this not as a requirementm rather a response to the Mercy of God, anyway hope to have helped in your walk
Micah 6:8He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

Agreed, we each have a differant way of coming to the one narrow road, to that narrow gate, and with belief we are there, whether we go to Church or not. I saythis because a one day a week thing is to me not what it is. It is an everyday worship to me and not in flesh in Spirit.

Seriously, I would rather not attend a liberal church if I will be indoctrinated with unbiblical, secular and liberal teachings without me realizing it... I believe as a Christian we must be a Berean and test everything.

First born of the Virgin Mary, born a life giving Spirit, since all the rest of us were born dead in the Spirit and in need of life. God the Father's approval, is the only one that matters. Not approved by the Synagogues of that day and was kicked out, they didn't raise him to believe their way, and were jealous of his wisdom and the authority he had shown by miracles that he did.
Christian is a man made word, in Antioch, is where this term first was said, and means to be Christ like.
Which in turn promotes flesh to go at it and work hard to attain it. Which only promotes imitation of Christ, instead of participation in Christ's finished work of the cross

Still to this very day people want control of, whatever they think will do them the most good, and by this are far away from the truth, that ones flesh is blocking the way and they are convinced that they are right.
When in fact God desires for us to give up all our selfish ways.
The true church is in Heaven and it is not called Church, because the word Church means building, and this word was translated from the word Ecclesia. Ecclesia means the called out ones, and Church means building. God does not reside in buildings, God resides in the ones that believe. (true Ecclesia, Tabernacle Hebrews 8:1-4)
Jesus did his preaching outside the camp and died outside the camp, most importantly he rose again by the operation of Father. The very same Father that does that very same thing for us, if we believe. The death, burial and resurrection was for the ones that believe, it was not for Christ himself, it was for the whole world, and the whole world knows this. But not everybody knows that what they still need after being 100% forgiven at the death of Christ, that they need first die to themselves as Christ already did for them at the cross, then ask God for this new life, and thus receive it by the resurrected Christ.
He was and is perfect, and by him we are made perfect, through him we get new life in the Spirit of God. We get our minds renewed in how we trust God, trusting God to do in us what we know we can't do in self and that is love all unconditionally

This is all done at GOD's approval, not man's. So why do we follow man's ways? Let's just trust God and sift all we hear through God, who lives in us as he said he does, by the resurrection of Christ and ascension, so the Holy Ghost would come to us to be our teacher. that separates error from truth

If two or three are gathered in his name, there he (Christ) will be in the Spirit right there amongst you, through the Holy Ghost that we are sealed with on the very first day we decided to believe.
I see a problem we started out in belief and somewhere along that way works took over or take over, and thus flesh has worked its deception again
