I am looking for something to get my 16 year old sister for christmas and i would like to get her some sort of christian book. she is a fairly new christian she has only been coming to church a year or 2. does anyone have any suggestions for books i could get her? preferably some that are on the cheaper side.
thanks in advance for the suggestions.

Do you want Christian books to learn about Christianity, or like fun stories with a bit of a Christian message?

I've always really enjoyed books by Lois Walfrid Johnson (who fits into the latter category) but they are billed for like 12-15-year-olds, so depending on your sister's maturity, they might be too young. She wrote three different series, The Adventures of the Northwoods, (my personal favorite) The Riverboat Adventures (later published as the Freedom Seekers series) The Viking Quest series. The Viking Quest is knit very closely together, so I wouldn't recommend getting just one, the other two it is perfectly ok to read just the first one or to pick up in the middle.

i think i want one that is more to learn about christianity though am open to suggestions. I'm not sure if i book aimed at 12-15 year olds would be cute right for her she is reasonably mature for her age.

Hmm, when I was a kid I loved reading The Cooper Kids Adventure Series and some of the others by Frank E. Peretti. You can probably get the entire series pretty cheap now a days.

I've also heard of some younger women liking Wanda Brunstetter romance novels, not my type of thing but...
Books - Wanda Brunstetter

Both of the above are Christian-fiction authors. :)

Passion and Purity or other Elizabeth Elliot books? (No offense if you don't take my ideas, I'm just throwing them out there). :)

Books by Alex and Brett Harris? I forgot the English title, but they wrote good books since they were 19 or something. Those books will suits teenagers i guess.

And i also like books by John Piper (Don't Waste Your Time)
