I can not download the mgn file for the chat room. My computer is viewing the file as a virus, and not letting me open the file at all. I do have Adobe flash so that isn't the issue...

Out of curiosity, does Adobe Air download separately from the Adobe site, or does it install with the package?

Yep, I uninstalled the previous version because there was no longer any sound. I tried to download the updated one, but it's not letting me. I don't know what the problem is.

When I downloaded the previous version it alerted me I did not have Air and allowed me to install it.

Flash is irrelevant. Flash is for the old chat room. The download version is a newer chat room since Flash is being discontinued.
Your other post on this same subject suggests it's a Windows issue, but if it's your anti-virus blocking the download then it's not a Windows issue.
Might help if you shared what anti-virus you used.
Right sorry, I am not good with computers. All I know is my antivirus is Panda Protection, I also have Norton. I disabled both though and it still would not let me download the .dmg file. I also use windows 8 I believe it is.
I did some research and apparently .dmg are files made to be opened with macs? But, it still comes up as a .dmg file when I click "download for windows".
I have given in to using the android chat app but it is not user friendly.

The chat app for Windows is basically the same as the Android chat app. But, it is a brand new app, so it'll probably get tweaked over time. All of the site/app creation and maintenance is done by one man, so he may be learning to do new things while still maintaining two other sites as well as being a husband and father. No doubt the app will improve over time.
Part of your problem is that you have TWO anti-viruses running simultaneously. You can't do that, or they'll conflict with one another. So choose which one to keep and uninstall the other..

That's not part of her problem though. The very post you quoted she stated she disabled both and still had no luck.
And having both running wouldn't cause the link to give a Mac download anyways.
The app does work...what you need to do 1st is install ADOBE AIR not Adobe Flash.....
then after Adobe Air is installed next install the Chat app from this CC website.....

Air is not required first. I did not have Air installed and CC installed, then after, offered to install Air. Air is simply required to run the app.
A lot of people can still not get into the chatrooms on the computer. I have a new computer with windows 10 and I still cant get in.
The changes in CC do not work for everyone.
