If you do not want that "white foamy stuff" on top of salmon, first rub top with sea salt.

Do not preheat oven. Put in cold oven - turn to 400 degrees - and check in 25 min. So very moist and delicious.

I like to top mine with dill weed, little olive oil or butter.

My son technically does not like fish, but I introduced him to a blackened grouper sandwich while in Florida and now he is hooked! He will even eat salmon now, if it's properly seasoned.

Can you tell I live along the west coast? Salmon is a mainstay in my house. And for left-over salmon, mix it with cooked white rice and hard boiled eggs, a little butter, s&P.
 
we eat a lot of salmon, too, and are fortunate to have a small store that flies it in fresh once a week.

sometimes i mix a T each Worcestershire, raw honey and grainy mustard,
pour it on a fillet and top it with chopped pecans before baking.
even the husband likes it. :)

what's leftovers? ;)

Good tip to know. Salmon always catches my attention. Usually, I cook a nice steak of salmon in a pan with butter. And my priority is to avoid overcooking it. Loovvveee it when it is just translucent. ... On the side I like veggies grilled to tender - just one slice or two of carrot, purple onion, red & yellow bell pepper. ... Once cooked, like you, add dill... but my (arguably odd) addition is large amounts of cilantro! It is almost like a cilantro salad around the salmon. Seriously, cilantro to me is like cat-nip to a cat. And of course, olive oil to satisfy the Greek parts of my blood (and the health benefits to counteract the butter). :p Even though I think butter get's a worse reputation than it should. It's got vitamin A!!!Of course, moderation is still a key.
