This old Honda was made in 1970.
Bought it 10 years ago for $25 after it had been stored for 25 years,

Hey Matthew - you've been such a responsible and decent communicator with others and myself - tell you a little story or two)
I grew up redneck in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. I've always felt extremely comfortable around the 'rougher crowds'.
(and by the way, I still love rednecks - they work harder than most, and they're the last people on earth that can still take a joke!)
Therefore, I love bikers, but not necessarily the bikes. I mean, they're nice and good to look at, but I've never had the urge to mount one. Bikers are very decent people, judging from the exposure I've had.
One day I was driving from Robins AFB (near Macon GA) to Hill AFB (Ogden UT). Thought I could drive straight through, but midway through Missouri I started getting really tired. So, come Kansas City, I was looking for a good place to take a nap. I drove around a while, then found where a BUNCH of bikers were having a late night party in a big parking lot (this is around one in the morning). I pulled up in the middle of where the bikes were parked at, and fell instantly asleep. When I woke up 3 hours later, all the bikes were gone.
Bikers are so real, I love them. I'd go to a biker church if we had one around us.
Ok - one more. One time I was driving about 300 miles and my car developed a problem that forced me to go no more than 35 MPH for about the last 150 miles. The ONLY person that pulled along side and asked me if I needed any help was a biker! I so appreciated that!

We have all kinds of Christian biker groups around here in Ohio. Well, nobody's perfect, but I love the lack of hipocracy!
By the way, if your name means Westfield UK, we used to drive to Dover all the time from RAF Lakenheath all the time to jump on the ferry. Take care on those roads!

We don't have a Christian group that I know. Most folks in church don't like motorcycles. I tend to go to Cornwall

I remember a commercial that used to come on British TV - don't remember what it was for, but it ended with "We're CORNWALL!"

My first duty station was Hill AFB from 78-80, then to onto Anderson AFB Guam.
I have three Honda Goldwings, the last one being a metallic red 2008. Unfortunately I had to sell it when Covid hit. I've been to all of the western and mid-western states on them.

I did try and sort start post for cyclists. I think it is awaiting approval. I really hope the post takes off because cycling is my second passion
I'm not a Honda or Cruiser man because it doesn't work so well in Europe but the Goldwing is a legendary bike. I envy the range of landscapes you have in the USA hey I have even thought about spending a year there are just to explore.
I think the motorcycle is a great way to get to a destination. I'm trying to learn some basic mechanical skills so that I can break down my my mountain bike and carry it on the back of the motorbike. I'd love to then cycle around and some natural woodland and. The challenges I don't want to give up a sports bike and go into the whole adventure Bike thing
No mastter what you do, if you ride a mb for much time you will come to know quite a bit about it. I did not know what a two stroke was until I got that Puch. It was very comfortable for a small bike.
I think in the first 10 years all I wanted was speed and the latest gadgets to make the bike faster. Now I realise that the focus is more for the journey and the destination the scenery and some of the people I have met. I tend to hang out with bikers you were at least 10 years older often they have been through some phases in life. They tend to be very spiritual and love being a nature. They are not materialistic so much. And stay away from the city's
