Hi. I’m Rebecca. I live in Manchester UK. I’m interested in growing closer to the AMiE. Is anyone willing to help me with my journey. Thank you🙏🏼

Hi Rebecca (@rchad), I don't believe that I can be much help to you in regard to AMiE, but I can at least say "hello" and "welcome to CChat" :giggle:

God bless you!!

~Deuteronomy
(David)

1 Thessalonians 5
23 May the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body
be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
24 Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.

Hi Rebecca, you live in a favorite place of mine where many shows I watch are filmed. Glad to have you joining CC and am not familiar with AMiE. Anyway, God bless you and your time here!😊🌹🙏

Welcome. How can we help you?
Hi Gideon. Nice to meet you. Well I’ve been on a long journey to get to where I am with God, and I’m still learning as we all are I guess. I’m keen to know the Lord Jesus Christ on a more personal level and scripture is leading me to the traditional Anglican that is the AMiE, outside of the Church of England. I was wondering if there are similar people on here to chat to. 🙏🏼

I attend two different churches, one non denominational and one a non traditional Anglican meeting. My preteen experience with Church of England was grim. It did not help that it was under compulsion.

After I was born again, over 50 years ago, I could not bring myself to go to an an Anglican church. I've learned a lot in that time. I'm still learning, of course.

My advice to you is to be diligent in studying God's word for yourself. Ask God for discernment. Ask Jesus to reveal Himself to you. Ask Him to give you understanding of the Bible. Spiritual growth requires diligence and discipline. It's good to read books and watch videos by men and women of God. Lord Jesus gave the ministry gifts to the church. But, like the people of Berea, we need to confirm truth for ourselves.

I stay out of Anglican politics and infighting. It seems that you can believe almost anything and still call yourself Anglican. What I read of the AMiE seems fine. I don't agree with everything. That does not bother me these days. There are fundamentals that I do agree with and that's good enough.

Love your reply. Thank you so much. The more I read scripture the more I can’t relate to what my church, or at least the guest sermons speak of. Like you say it can get too political. Im finding that the more I hear others speak about God and scripture, the more it corrupts the ‘purity’ of the Bible. However it’s done no harm my little investigative work on the splits of the Anglican Church, which has led me to look into AMiE.

It’s great advice from you. God is my absolute guidance and reading and studying the word is wonderful. I cannot believe the strength with having God with me. Private time to pray and be at one with God is I’m finding more appropriate at the moment. Matthew 6:5-8 of course is the word and this keeps running through my mind (although I do babble a lot☺️).

Thanks again for your reply. Stay safe and God bless 🙏🏼💪🏼
