I am from South Africa. George, Western Cape. I Wwas saved back in 2009. Not that I didnt know the gospel... it was never made clear. Before 2009 my family moved to the area of George. My father a Christian and my mother. I hated church. The bands and all were fun, but truth was lacking. So we joined a church that turned out to be a cult. I mean way out. They had a farm and all. Weird teachings. Friendly enough, but we realized something. As the economy was failing my dad had to work abroad and the cult... money lovers. My mom realized something when my dad left to go to work. She was never saved. The cult was a shock for how Christians could pervert the Holy Word. She repented and started devouring her Bible. We left that sect and went to other churches. All of them had a sharade. I surrenderedy life when I was twelve in another church riddled with false teaching. We moved to George. Once there we still searched and almost gave up had it not been for Baptist missionaries that sent a choir to my High School. Know I finally hear Biblical messeges. I dont miss the fake fun or the bands. Give me Word and fellowship. Everyone I know bears the name of Christ. Their faith however seems to not really matter. It saddens me. The new church movement saddens me. Oh were are the Pauls and the Stephens. Where are the shepherds?
