Flyleaf are le awesome! Christ-soaked lyrics with rockin' tunes.

She kinda looks like she needs to be in a sane asylum in the vid lol, but its a good song

Lacy had a very tough life. She was abused often and fled to drugs at around 10 years old. I presume the constant drug use did some damage. That said, her dance style is very different, raw and honest and that's something beautiful.

Normally not a fan of this type of music, but i remember working at Borders in the music section and seeing their first CD come through and popping it in and thought it was awesome. I even played it for my secular death metal buddy and he loved it too. That chick had a beastly scream. Too bad shes left the band, her voice was a big part of their appeal to me. Haven't heard anything with the new vocalist yet. Not holding my breath it will be as good.
While i was a bigger fan of their first CD, this song, off their second CD was one of my favorites..

That is a crazy story! Yeah it was mainly how pale she looks in the vid, not anything against her :)

Thats a good song, makes me pretty sad tho when I hear it. Idk why.

It's too bad that Lacey is leaving the band, it won't be the same without her.

Yeah, it is sad i suppose, but the reason i like it so much is my ability to relate so well to it. I suffered from bad depression from 14 up until a few years ago, it really felt like living in darkness.

The part that gets me every time is 'Jesus, kill me inside this, raise me up to live again, like you did" Powerful. Just Powerful.

The entire second album really hits me in the gut. This one brought me to tears at one point,

And if you haven't heard the third album, Lacey's voice is absolutely incredible, best I've ever heard her sound.

Flyleaf is one of those bands that I have listened to for years before I realized they were a Christian band. I don't always pay attention to lyrics. :p Awesome though.
