That question really rubs me the wrong way, so I had better not answer it.

Is this like in the Bible, when the tribe of Benjamin were "allowed" to steal daughters from the other tribes, so they could get married?

Marry a woman who fears GOD, problem solved.
If your woman's willing to leave you for another man, then you're not losing out. A woman that truly loves you would never do that.

Sometimes I get scared of this one too. Because I have seen a man and women who where getting married. She left him and married a different man, at the wedding.
I know this one is true. But I still hate that it happens.
You're irritated by the infidelity and self-entitlement of those who are the embodiment of an adverse illustration of courtship and marriage. Have faith that where the Spirit is present, the pattern of loyalty and constancy will always hold sway.
Well until she marries you, she can decide to go with someone else. Once married, if she leaves to go with another man then that's adultery.
The problem with that, is all your investment is in her for a period if 6-12 months. Then, just as your taking the vows, she marries someone else. Although people don't see that as adultery, it is a form of adultery.
The world has this one figured out, is one you two hookup for the first time, then you are right there serous. You don't wait. A girl who tells me to date her for a long period of time first, is telling me she wants to mess around with other men. I can't trust a girl like that. She is either mine, or not.
Look at the history in the bible. It was never done like that. Sometimes the married couple never even met each other first, and they got married. These marriages where very faithful and powerful and full of love. And also in the bible, there are examples with God's elect, he never even married. They had girlfriends only.
If you leave that door open, the devil is going to steal from you. That is just what that system does, is allows the devil to take advantage of people.
The world and even Isreal in it's right standing with God had more successful system then us. We should adopt it. In that system, nobody was without, unless they where enuch. In there system, the never had the problems we did, it was full proof.
You might say, but what about abusive or toxic men. This is something that should not be present with a christian. If he is not christian, according to the bible, you have the justified reason for leaving him. And, her family should go and take her away in my opinion if he's abusive to her. This was in fact practiced. The church body can intervene here. One red flag, is why have they not attending church in long time. So her friends contact her.
So my last statement about it, is it's not scripture. It's false doctrine.
There is a simple solution to that, ask GOD about the woman you are pursuing before you invest your time. I have done it and the LORD told me no because I asked for a sign and guess what I wasted months on her. Two cannot walk together unless they be agreed. THE LORD can hear your prayer we just don't listen cause we want to be emotional. Seek ye first the kingdom of GOD and all these things shall be added unto you. Forget the women and strengthen your relationship with GOD first. God will then give you the desire of your heart.
Psalms 37: 4

I would stay away from stuff like that God is not a magic match maker and there are dangers to doing stuff like that especially for one who has been hurt so much like you
You can't. I grew up with cheating all around me... and guess what they were Christians.
My husband and I have been married for 14 years. We've both had countless opportunities to cheat over the years. But neither of us has ever cheated.
This would be my advice though.
1. Don't marry a liar. (All cheaters are liars. If you notice it happening be done.)
2. Marry someone with married parents. (My husband comes from a long line of married men who didn't divorce or cheat. Also didn't leave kids....important.)
3. Marry someone who doesn't put you down or make you do all the work in the relationship. They're called users.
4. Marry someone as is. Don't expect them to change... this is parentification in a marriage. One is the parent (mature one) and one the child (reckless one). Cheating will happen...guaranteed.
Mental issues, addicts, no morals (if it feels good now do it), psychopaths, sociopaths (feels nothing from causing pain), sadist (enjoys causing pain).....all of those can and probably will cheat. They're not uncommon either. I've met tons and dated a bunch too. The older I get the easier I spot them.
As far as being married the man should be treated as a god and the woman as a goddess. The verses I often hear directed toward women specifically is meant to be insulting and putting her in her place at best or worse to excuse abuse. They also conveniently forget how men are suppose to treat women as christ loved the church. This also leads to resentment.
Traditional roles are ideal, but it should be a family decision. Both my husband and I work, but I do more of the traditional work like cooking, cleaning, taking care of kids. He does outside work, cars, fixing the house, and taking care of kids. Kids need 2 parents present. If you have a declared feminist as a woman you'll probably never be happy. Granted I actually care about women, but I'm not a feminist bc they hate women.
So those are the biggest mistakes I see made that can lead to cheating. It's a lot unfortunately so it happens a lot. But you can still reduce your odds a ton by staying away from people who fit the "type" of person that would cheat. There are no guarantees in life.
