A builder sets out to build a house. He gets his tools and he chooses a place to build.
The place he wants to build his house already has buildings on it, so he has a tractor and bulldozer to come and break down those buildings so that he can build his house there.
But the land is not good for building, so he has landscaping to come in and level the ground.
Now he is ready to build. The first thing he must do is build a solid foundation. And the main corner stone of this foundation must also be very strong, so that it can hold up the house in tough weather conditions. He builds the foundation, and from there he sets the walls on it. He lays out the walls and the flooring. And he makes the ceiling, and finally he designs the roof.
He looks at his work and sees it is good. It is finished.
My friend. Jesus Christ is the chief corner stone of the building of the house of God. His children are like the stones used to build on that foundation.
Any stone that is not a part of his house will not remain. And anyone that builds on another foundation other than the one that was laid by God, their house will not stand either, because when trials come, it will quickly blow over, because it was not built on the only framework that can withstand it. The gospel of Jesus Christ is the foundation. If you have learned any other foundation, be it the promises of earthly riches, or any other promise other than the promises Jesus makes, then you need to tear down that whole house, or foundation, and build on the solid foundation of Jesus Christ.
May Jesus bless you.
