I'm 18 so I struggled with this. There were times where I would pray and the desire to stop became a reality and then months passed and I would fall again and be in a major funk.

Anyway, first things first, God is the creator of the universe and he loves. Don't feel like because you fail and you feel like your prayers aren't heard that he doesn't love you. He does.

Second, don't focus on your sin but on Jesus.
Santification can only happen by getting closer to Jesus and as you get closer you will begin to become more like Jesus. Keep praying and reading,
Maybe even fast to hear what God has to say. Your focus should not be on your sin but on Jesus who conquered sin

Third, continue to pray. God hears all. I will pray for you after typing this. :)

Third, take the necessary tips to stay away. Keep yourself from being alone. Find the source that usually causes this. Examine your music. Is it sexual? Is it very graphic? Your books? Your tv shows you watch? Are these things promoting images for sex then you need to stop listening or watching or reading and pick up things that glorify God. Video games as well.

Fourth, you aren't in this alone. You need to find a group of Christian brothers or someone who can pour into you spiritually, pray for you, and keep you accountable. You can not forsake the assembly of the righteous. Find a local church and get plugged in so you can be fed spiritually

Fifth, Praise God in all things. He loves you. Even if you always struggle with lust understand that he loves you and his reasons or not ours.

God bless brother! If you have more questions...ill try to reply as soon as possible.

Twisted | Life.Church - "Ask Anything"
Dangerous Prayers | Life.Church - All of them
Highly recommend all of their sermons.

This is a struggle for so many people, and fortunately you can stop it before it festers and grows. My honest and personal advice is that if you love God with your heart, and even call upon him in temptation, the thoughts will disappear. The problem is that we get tempted and in the moment we decide to act on it. Is it truly good for our concious and other people around us in the Spirit of Christ? Of course not.
"Of them the proverbs are true: "A dog returns to its vomit," and, "A sow that is washed returns to her wallowing in the mud." - 2 Peter 2:22. This is exactly our Spirit convicts us of when we are in the state when we can make a choice: to follow God or our understanding.
My advice is to truly understand God's providence and love over your life. If we can feel God's love, and the power of his Son's meaning on the cross, then we can't be in bondage to sin. Think of what it really means to have Christ-the propagation for our sins. Read the Bible, watch Life.Church on demand whenever confused (my bias of course) pray for understanding, and pray for comfort.

I hope this helps. God bless

kingerik....GOD bless you for your reply...It shows spiritual maturity..it offers hope...it is being totally human and totally CHRISTIAN at the same time. I am older than you two...but the tempation these days is much stronger and available than it was just a few years ago...and old satan loves it. Yes, especially males, are drawn to porno because it is purely VISUAL..which stimulates our minds...Females usually operate from their hearts...and let's face it..porno makes women the scoundrels. I love your advice. It can be used by all ages....you have a spiritual gift of knowledge/wisdom for sure....Thank you for your honesty!

Kingerik summed it all up wonderfully. I can't add much to it. But what I will add is this:

If the temptation is there every time you go by the computer or pick up your phone, it might be better to just get rid of them (Like really throw them away.) It's not worth your soul to constantly put yourself through temptation. Focus on you walk with Christ. Make that the center of your life, you will emerge from this rough patch stronger then before.

Sir all I can tell you as a person who struggled with this for many years... what has and will be seen cannot be unseen! Ever.

Those images will haunt you ALL the TIME! I assure you of that.... I know it may not seem like a big deal now... but it will be later in life... this one of satan's biggest footholds on young people (yes girls can be addicted to porn as well - but men are visual and you better believe satan knows that!)

It will never ever!! be enough! and it will leave you empty....

As for your prayers... God knows what it is you need AND what you desire before you even utter one word... but remember it's a give and take relationship... most people don't understand that...

If I had to guess... I would say that you know EXACTLY what you need to do to be heard....
