Deuteronomy 19:15 One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.

Matthew 18:16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.

Let's establish some ideas with two or three witnesses from the scriptures.

The 2 or 3 witnesses required of men by God in scripture to establish a word or a testimony or a word in creation testifies to the Triune God. Just as 2 or 3 witnesses are required of men by God to judge any one testifies to the Triune God.

That is how God established a word in creation for there were 3 Witnesses to do it as the One God just as God is able to judge any one because there are 3 Witnesses within the One God for God to judge.

I meant it as a fun thread to share very similar verses side by side. Another example perhaps.

Matthew 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 6:11 Give us this day our daily bread. 6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Luke 11:2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. 11:3 Give us day by day our daily bread. 11:4 And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.

it's usually a matter of context...

hubby and I have often been included as 'witnessess', if varying situations,
some good, and some bad, and some 'really-bad'...

Proper grammar and sentence structure add weight to a proverb. :/

It's the spirit of a proverb that matters, not necessarily structure or grammer.

Translation is subjected to discernment, which comes from the Lord.

But I believe that this was one of Solomons Proverbs.

And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live. Deuteronomy 8:3

But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Matthew 4:4

And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead. Luke 16:31

1 Peter 3:15 - But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and [be] ready always to [give] an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

Colossians 4:6 - Let your speech [be] alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
