Jeremiah 1 and the Modern Church — A Call to Wake Up

I think I believe a lot of people have been deceived by the pre trib rapture doctrine. Having graduated from an Assemblies of God college i used to be one. But that doctrine is based only on 2 Thess and when I studied Matthew 24 i saw the contradiction. Im not a pre trib person but I’m not...

Honest Question: How do I pray?

Also remember, He is God but also now your Father. He loves you and wants to have fellowship with you. His hearts desire is for you to grow in faith and closer to Him. Hebrews 6 says that He’s a rewarded of those who diligently seek Him. Just start and He’ll guide you.

Honest Question: How do I pray?

When I pray, I ask first that my thoughts be aligned with His thoughts and my will aligned with His will. Matthew 5 the Lord’s Prayer Jesus taught “Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven”. It’s a great model for prayer: Begin with praise, ask for His will to be completed in your life...

Can We Really Exercise Free Will?

The way this conversation is heading, it would be a great opportunity to practice “bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ”.(2 Corinthians 10:5) I will probably get hammered on for saying this…. But as my son says, “Pick your battles”.

Can We Really Exercise Free Will?

This certainly is a convoluted subject. I really hope no one was offended by my posts; that was certainly not my intention. I guess that’s why we were instructed to be swift to hear and slow to speak. I think I’ll do more reading and less posting in the future. God bless all.

Does Rom 5:18 teach that Christ died for all men without exception ?

Yes, add John 3:17 to that, “ for God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved.“. As my mom used to say “all means all“.

Can We Really Exercise Free Will?

Agree. I’ve never read so many differing and unbiblical views. Didn’t Jesus say in John 3:16 that WHOEVER believes in him would have everlasting life? And he told Nicodemus that he (we) must be born again? Romans 10 Paul writes, “But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, “Do not say...

Can We Really Exercise Free Will?

To add to my earlier statements I will say that man’s free will given by God is not a license to sin. Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 5:14 that the love of Christ compels or constrains him. We exercise our Fred will to choose Jesus and to honor him by choosing by our free will to serve him.

Can We Really Exercise Free Will?

Well, I don’t believe what I said is heresy. And just like having free will, we have the right to speak what we believe.

Can We Really Exercise Free Will?

didn’t God give us free will or the option to choose for ourselves what we would do with life? Choices… we have the choice to accept or reject the offer of eternal life offered by God through the sacrifice of His son, Jesus Christ. think of it this way; if man had no free will then Adam and...
