More to keep the predators out. I've had free range peafowl that seldom left, but nature is cruel and they are much more easily killed if left open netted, after losing a coup!e, I netted for the rest. They have at least an acre with areas not pictured. They are not hard done by.

He is called a sizzle. Silkie and fizzel, lol. I adopted him because he was literally plucked bald by another hobby farm, always getting picked on. A few weeks later and different home, most of his feathers are back and he's a little too bossy, lol.
