The simplicity is we are or we aren't. Those who claim they are & don't agree & fuss, aren't. You will know them by their fruit.

    Different kinds of works

Repentance. Definition. True Christian repentance involves a heartfelt conviction of sin, a contrition over the offense to God, a turning away from the sinful way of life, and a turning towards a God-honoring way of life. Repentance is an action of faith resulting in works.

    Which works justify?

Works of repentance shows we're justified before God. Works of faith prove we're living the righteous life. When Jesus said we will know them by their fruit, He's talking about their righteous works.

    Which works justify?

Even when we first got saved, we believed (faith) & repented of our sins(works). Then there's the fruits of repentance (works). These works are the results of real faith. If a sinner truly believes, he will respond with actions that proves he does.:)

My KJV Debate with Jeffrey Dollar

I do not recommend asking this site for pointers on debating when most in this forum only like to argue. It's kind of like asking a warmonger what's the best way to promote peace.

    Is this fish good?

I notice the word 'person' isn't in the biblical text as much as it should. I believe we should check how 'person' should have been used in the English translation of the Bible instead of 'man'.

When are we most vulnerable to the devil?

    1. When you are alone. 2. When going thru horrendous times, like losing a loved one.

Testing gift of prophecy on christianchat.

ALL prophecy in the NT is to the church unless it specifically says otherwise.

Testing gift of prophecy on christianchat.

Not so. Sometimes a new prophecy comes as a confirmation to an old one with new details not expressed in the old one. I believe Acts 2 is such a one. When God calls someone in the ministry, He may show the person directly. Later on God may confirm that ministry, esp. if that person runs away at...

Just a reminder…and yes, it goes for me too!!

1 Corinthians 14:2 What is the outcome then, brothers and sisters? When you assemble, each one has a psalm, has a teaching, has a revelation, has a tongue, has an interpretation. All things are to be done for edification. Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth...

The right use of social media

What many don't consider about sinning on social media is their addiction to the phone itself. Many can't keep their eyes off of it, even in church! Then there's the sin of letting their kids stay on it in church! The cell phone becomes a god when their devotion is more to it than to God.

    Profiteers of the Gospel

Philippians 1: 12Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that my circumstances have turned out for the greater progress of the gospel, 13so that my [k]imprisonment in the cause of Christ has become well known throughout the [l]praetorian guard and to everyone else, 14and that most of the...

    Profiteers of the Gospel

I don't know why ministers believe they have a right/privilege to go all sorts of directions with their calling, even leaving their church God sent them to when God still wants them there. I'm reminded of 1 Kings 20:40 "while I was busy here & there...." I pity those watchmen who are busy doing...

    Profiteers of the Gospel

We understand that televangelists are indeed these 3 things. So it is to those who are seeking to "arrive" where they are. The wannabees. If an honest minister gets too much he will simply pray & put it where he's inspired. What none of us fully understand is how many of those wannabees are out...

Grace or Works - For It Cannot Be Both

How can a righteous man prove himself? You will know him by his fruit. A fruitless person is a useless person. They are gathered like sticks, & thrown into the fire. You can't have fruit unless you're planting something. eh?
