Repentance. Definition. True Christian repentance involves a heartfelt conviction of sin, a contrition over the offense to God, a turning away from the sinful way of life, and a turning towards a God-honoring way of life. Repentance is an action of faith resulting in works.

Works of repentance shows we're justified before God. Works of faith prove we're living the righteous life. When Jesus said we will know them by their fruit, He's talking about their righteous works.

Even when we first got saved, we believed (faith) & repented of our sins(works). Then there's the fruits of repentance (works). These works are the results of real faith. If a sinner truly believes, he will respond with actions that proves he does.:)

I do not recommend asking this site for pointers on debating when most in this forum only like to argue. It's kind of like asking a warmonger what's the best way to promote peace.

I notice the word 'person' isn't in the biblical text as much as it should. I believe we should check how 'person' should have been used in the English translation of the Bible instead of 'man'.
