I posted this thread and thought I was going to get a list of the common things the churches fight other churches over like speaking in tongues. Reading other threads, I find that the churches can fight over just about anything. All such in fighting I feel is taking people away from Jesus...

The gospel is seeing the Person first, and theology is figuring out if the person you saw was the Person you were looking for. It doesn’t make much sense unless we see the record of how John the Baptist sent his disciples to inquire of Jesus if he was the Messiah they were looking for.

Hmmm? Have all these recent posts been gospel or theology? Is it the gospel that is causing this “discussion” or is it theology?

Wow. It’s amazing what words people are drawn to and what words people will quibble over! Now if only the word “Jesus” had so much power in our day and age that “every knee would bow and tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.”
