Should Christian men and women dress differently or does it matter under the new covanent?

Yes but that wasn’t a “wedding ring” like today’s is (sacred, on the fourth finger, part of the wedding ceremony)...am I wrong that these are very different? Thanks🙂

Should Christian men and women dress differently or does it matter under the new covanent?

I wondered about the wedding ring’s pagan origins as brought into the Christian wedding ceremony way back... I want to honour God is why I ask.

Should Christian men and women dress differently or does it matter under the new covanent?

Would this include gold and diamond jewellery (including wedding rings)? Thanks 🙂

Should Christian men and women dress differently or does it matter under the new covanent?

Yeah I think now that it just goes hand in hand with practicality, women leaving the home to go work elsewhere which also seems part of the enemy’s plans to break up families (adultery in the workplace, etc.)... I see it now as just cultural, sure it’s practical for a woman to wear pants these...

Should Christian men and women dress differently or does it matter under the new covanent?

You all make some great points, thanks for helping me in my understanding :) While I can't shake the feeling that the enemy may have brought pants to women in the 60's feminist movement as a way to get more men to sin by way of their thoughts while at the same time women wanted to to be the head...

Does entering into Jesus' rest mean we're to give up the Sabbath day? Is the 4th commandment part of the moral law of God?

Would someone please explain to me if I have this right? 1) The Mosiac “old” covenant was the Decalogue (10 commandments plus all the ceremonial law); 2) those in Christ are now under the new covenant (under the law of Christ which is to love God and to love others, which sums up the law and the...

Should Christian men and women dress differently or does it matter under the new covanent?

I’m wondering if when women stated wearing pants in the West by and large if they were dressing like men (it seems the first ones were) and if so, woud that at that time that have been not the right thing to do? I’m not sure how modest it is, but I’m starting to see it’s a cultural norm, once...

Should Christian men and women dress differently or does it matter under the new covanent?

I wonder this too why women want to be taller than what God made them... It seems to me women don’t buy high heels so that they can reach something on the top shelf that was two or three inches out of reach... Thanks🙂

Should Christian men and women dress differently or does it matter under the new covanent?

Who decides? Do we just go with what the stores call menswear and womenswear? Thanks🙂

Should Christian men and women dress differently or does it matter under the new covanent?

The thougts behind my OP were questions about cultural shifts, mostly wondered about women wearing pants now so often when 70-80 years ago there seemed a much more culturally defined difference between men and women in their garb. Feminism and divorce and emasculated men and the world waxing...

Does entering into Jesus' rest mean we're to give up the Sabbath day? Is the 4th commandment part of the moral law of God?

But why was his vision God telling him to go and hunt and Peter saying that no unclean thing has ever entered his mouth? I know he was going to visit the gentles thereafter but his vision talks about food in his mouth... Also someone who keeps God’s OT dietary laws (not for salvation) would say...

Does entering into Jesus' rest mean we're to give up the Sabbath day? Is the 4th commandment part of the moral law of God?

May I ask you (in seriousness as someone leaning) what you say to Peter’s vision about God commanding him to not call anything clean that God has made clean and it was to do with going and hunting food? Was that to do with the gentiles not being unclean but nothing to do with food? (Honest...

Should Christian men and women dress differently or does it matter under the new covanent?

Men are men and women are women, no doubt, male and female created He them, but what I’m wondering about is clothes... I wonder about when woman started wearing pants (which pretty much only men did for a long tine in the Weat) when feminism got big in the 60s (and when they left the house to...

Does entering into Jesus' rest mean we're to give up the Sabbath day? Is the 4th commandment part of the moral law of God?

But isn’t their argument that the sacrifices and temple ordinances will come back again in the millennium and that we’ll keep the sabbath at that time also so it’s just on pause for now those ceremonial things that we can’t do currently but that there are some we can (not for salvation)? Thanks 🙂

Does entering into Jesus' rest mean we're to give up the Sabbath day? Is the 4th commandment part of the moral law of God?

That’s what I said that neither of you are trusting in keeping the law for salvation, but you differ as to whether we should keep the ceremonial, old covenant law... Did I say that right this time? Thanks 🙂

Does entering into Jesus' rest mean we're to give up the Sabbath day? Is the 4th commandment part of the moral law of God?

Forgive my ignorance, what laws remain that Jesus did not fulfil? My understanding is that He came to fulfil the law (and all righteousness) and did so.... (honest question) thanks🙂
