As much as I would love to believe in a Pre-trib rapture (hey, who wouldn’t want a get out of jail free card for the tribulation), nothing I have read in scripture supports the belief even though it is a popular teaching in many churches

There are numerous biblical references to Christians who are present during the tribulation, but scripture indicates they will be marked by God and protected by Him through the tribulation just as Noah was protected through the flood and lot was protected from the destruction in Sodom and Gomorrah.
