    HSP - Highly Sensitive Person

Took the test.....not a HSP.....not sure what that means but I am highly sensitive to the implications. Dolt? Dense? Numb? ;)

    Is Selflessness Even Possible?

One issue I see about this OP. It appears that you associate pleasure and feeling good with sin. That harkens back to the dark-ages practice of self punishment. We need to consider that issue carefully. God gave us the ability to feel pleasure, feeling good is from God. He also gives us...

    Is Selflessness Even Possible?

I share your pain on being an older male who loves children. I do the same thing around them and I hate it!!!! I guess every adult male is now a pervert! That's sad but true today.

    What Biblical character are you?

Me too, too. Caught me by surprise just a bit but the description is spot on.

    A New-Old Denomination?

I am rather simple and not a particularly deep thinker. I look with my eyes, feel truth in my soul, and speak as clearly as I can. We get so caught up in defining and re-defining, in seeking hidden nuances and looking for unique interpretations that we become blind to the beauty and...

    A New-Old Denomination?

I agree, but my problem is this. I believe nearly all people who attend "Church" are sincere, loving souls who are doing their very best to learn and follow God's word, often in spite of the garbage being fed to them. How do we become separate from the lies while not abandoning our commission...

    A New-Old Denomination?

The closest thing I have seen to your idea is a "Coffee House" design. It appears to work fairly well. Physically, there a is a "Coffee House" with a very large main seating area with multiple seating arrangements accommodating small groups of 2-20. There is usually at least one small group...

    A New-Old Denomination?

My friend, there has never been "one fold" for the church to go back to. That comes only at the end. What are you really trying to do? Someone will attempt a universal church just before the end times, but Christ will not be it's master. It too will fail.

    The Times, they are-a passin'

Not long go I received a call inviting me to a "Reveal Party" for a distant relative. I expressed excitement, but also mentioned that I wasn't aware this person was in a relationship to have a child. (I was careful not to mention the dreaded "marriage" word.) The icy cold response burned my...

    Chigger

This stream reminds me of an incident Corrie Ten Boom recalls in her book, The Hiding Place. She and her sister Betsie were in the Ravensbruk concentration camp leading an after-hours prayer service with other captives using a contraband Bible. Betsie leads a prayer based on 1 Thessalonians...
