    Just say NO to easter!

I'm still waiting for the verses where God (or Jesus for that matter) says to take pagan worship days and try to redeem them for Him, knowing full well they're not even the correct dates of the events which we're celebrating.

Do we know how Yeshua lived his life?

He lived according to the physical Torah, but also a greather and deeper understanding of Torah. Both are possible and encouraged with the Holy Spirit's guidance.

Are you a gentile or a member of the family of God?

Maybe, you never know. But, definitely this.

The Bible Verse By Verse Continued...

Matthew 7:11 (NASB) If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!

Are you a gentile or a member of the family of God?

I once was a Gentile, but am not anymore. I am grafted into Israel.

    Peter's Vision - Kill & Eat

I've never given much thought to the specific instruction of "kill and eat" as it pertains to the Gentiles. Maybe something along the lines of devouring or feeling superior to those man might have deemed unclean? (Just spit-ballin' here.) I've always paused and examined the parallel of...

    Peter's Vision - Kill & Eat

Man-made laws are different than the dietary laws God gave to His people. Those are the laws and the "parable" I believe God was using with Peter. Man created certain restrictions on people-group they believed were clean or unclean, and that's what God was trying to undo through Peter's vision...

    Peter's Vision - Kill & Eat

Understanding this passage correctly is what establishes the dietary restrictions as still valid. God was not changing His instructions to His people, but was using a parable of sorts to teach Peter a greater lesson. That is why God told Peter what the vision was for: "And he said to them...

Should a Christian celebrate christmas or easter?

Why couldn't there be a changing of the date? Doing things a certain way just because its the way we've always done it, knowing full well it's not correct is ignorant and prideful. I choose to celebrate Jesus' birth during the Biblical Fall Feasts days, which is closest to His actual birth. I...

Should a Christian celebrate christmas or easter?

If a Christian wants to celebrate Jesus' birth, death or resurrection, they should celebrate them truthfully and accurately. Not on blatantly false dates that were only chosen to coincide with worshipping other gods. A Christian should care about worshipping God in spirit and in truth instead of...

What does it mean to keep God's commandments?

From a physical lifestyle perspective, I try to obey as many of the 613 Torah commandments as is applicaple. It's the same approach with the commans in the New Testament. And the commands that are not physically applicable today, I look for the deeper spiritual application to them. God did not...

    Sunday Worship?

Shadow or not, God never instructed that the Sabbath was to be changed or done away with. It's putting the Sabbath in it's proper context compared to the fullfillment of all things, but it's never to be done away with. That's why Jesus said to obey and teach the commandments (including Sabbath).

    Sunday Worship?

Christians can go to church and gather together any day of the week, including Sunday. But the 7th day, Saturday, always has and always will be God's Sabbath. Again, go to church any day of the week, but don't mistake any day other than Saturday as the Sabbath.

The Feast of Booths, the Feast of Tabernacles, Sukkot, Succot.

It's definitely a blessing for Believers to celebrate Sukkot (and all of the other Biblical Feasts for that matter.) The blessing comes in the context in which you celebrate it. God tells His people to celebrate Sukkot forever (I see all Believers as "God's people.) So there is the element of...

How does a Christian keep the Sabbath Holy?

When Jesus told His followers to follow the Law. Matthew 5:18-19 "18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19 Therefore anyone who sets aside one...

    Instructions for sacrifice

Leviticus chapters 1-6 break down all of the sacrifice instructions in a pretty detailed manner. There are several different sacrifices for different sins that have different procedures. Hand placement by either the priest or the person offering the sacrifice are listed there.

How does a Christian keep the Sabbath Holy?

I find it interesting that in all of these 36 posts about the purpose of the Sabbath and the Law, there are only 2 Old Testament Scripture references given so far by anyone. It seems to me that if we want to understand the true and original intent of the Law, that we should start with what God...

How does a Christian keep the Sabbath Holy?

Very true, although I would say that every command God has given has a spiritual revelation and application to it as well if we take the time to seek it out. Unfortunately this conclusion isn't Scripturally accurate. Yes, you could make a case that there is a "Lord's Day" that is different from...
