Why Do You Think God Made It So That Our Hormones Seem So Hyperactive When We're Young, and Not Older or Later On In Life?

There are a lot of women in their 30s and 40s desperate to have children, and have to go expensive IVF treatment to have them. And it's not fun for couples to undergo this.

When they could have got pregnant for free in their teens or twenties. lol. A funny world we live in.

I don't joke about arranged marriage - and not everything happens in the US,, I live on the same planet as you do.

We have marriage in other parts of the world too.
the meaning is that arranged marriages are not the style here at all. way back in early immigration days, some of it existed. gtgn. (got to go now)

Actually you are talking about culture. It still happens in the US. You just don't know where it happens.

Pennsylvania Dutch, (Amish), Mormons in Utah anyone?

I don't know why anyone would want to be in a sex-less marriage. If you want a roommate, get a roommate.
yea it's a bit worrying, though I understand sex-less marriages AFTER you've had children. You'd be like, it's so exhausting, I don't want to be doing that again. But we share a house, so it's just easier to stay.

If both agree, then they can do whatever they want, however it's still not a healthy marriage. If only one agrees, therein lies the problem.

Yea open marriages exist.
Consent needs to be on both sides, that's why it's taught to adolescents these days. Before in the bad old days, people were clueless about it and thought it had to happen even if they didn't want it to.

I also remember in the bad old days, men were prescribed viagra. And women were prescribed birth control.
yea I don't understand how that ever worked.

And if consent is withheld by one side, it's sin. Be clear, I'm not promoting that anyone be forced.

Do not deprive one another, except perhaps by agreement for a limited time, that you may devote yourselves to prayer; but then come together again, so that Satan may not tempt you because of your lack of self-control. -- 1 For 7:5 ESV

Nowadays, pre adolescents are prescribed puberty blockers, because it is happening WAY too young. Like, females can start menstruating at 9 years old. Before they can even handle having a baby.

Explain that.

Well its marriage you honor your vows, if you make them. In sickness AND in health

Just because some people get sick and don't want to have sex doesn't mean they ought to be ditched or be labelled a sinner.

Get real.

Did I say anything about sickness? Get real. Don't make the exception the rule.

yea you said 'healthy marriage'

Don't assume people are healthy ALL the time. Everyone can fall sick once in a while, also, when people age, menopause happens. Its just not easy for women after this. That's why some women need to take hormones.

Do you not know about this?

I'm not a doctor, but I don't feel I really need to be explaining or mansplaining hormones to grown adults.

hhhhmmmmmm! that may be true. i don't know. but if you know, now i know. yes, it would seem in the amish culture it is true. forgot about that Lanolin.

And I wasn't talking about physical health. Pretty sure you knew that. This is why I said before my first comment I would regret it. Grace and Peace.

um..wow this thread is something.

But I have thought about it when learning about eels.

Eels, apparently put off having offspring until they are about 100 years old and then they spawn like crazy, and then die.

But I guess they don't have to look after their little elvers for too long. They just spurt out eggs, they hatch, and then swim away.

Human babies require so much care, you can't leave them alone for a second. And we only have one at a time, or two or three, at most.
Teen mums - I think often teen mums are naive and have children too young and are then incapable of supporting their child on their own, they really need the support of grandparents and the father.
Hormones - I don't think hormones wane as get older but the fertile window for females to grow a baby in their womb and give birth safely is very small, in your late teens -twenties is probably the best time.

The other thought is, people become sexually active after puberty, and adolescence is a mad learning curve for everyone. It's really crazy. You could have a crush one week and dump them the next. Those under the delusion that feeling is life-long and can only be reserved for ONE person of the opposite sex may have.a rude awakening to find out that in humans, that is not always so.

Adam and Eve were exceptional in the case they were the only two people on the planet at the time...and even then, they stuffed up. So yea
What seems to be overlooked is that the human body is not what it was when God created mankind. God has not seen fit to tell us how the body changes. However, Genesis 5 shows Adam fathering Seth at the age of 130. There are other men who became fathers in what we would call late in life. The change appears to take place after the flood. Lifespan reduced greatly. So it seems pretty obvious that the age men could father children had to be much younger also.

The body has normal and God-given appetites, including for food, drink and sex. They have been corrupted by the fall and Satan does his best to enslave us to those desires. The body is not inherently evil. However, the desires of the body can be manipulated and controlled by the sinful nature. We should not automatically assume that God is responsible.
