Very shocked it happened in my town. Shocked and disgusted.
The guy should be behind bars and castrated (!) so he can't do that to any more women. I think he had done it to a few. He lied about killing her. He tried to cover it up.

Nothing to do with church, but could happen to any woman whether they go to church or not.

Unfortunately there are sexual predators lurking in churches and schools.
And I hate hate that in the public library we had books like Fifty Shades of Grey, and there were no restrictions on it. Lolita was also a title that was controversial, but that was about a paedophile, still gross. It was meant to be a cautionary tale, but because of the movie, men went with it and were calling young girls Lolitas and perving at them.

Every year we have a white ribbon march against domestic violence and behind closed doors display in libraries to highlight this issue. We not only have women's refuges, but also Pet refuges, because pets also get traumatised by domestic violence.

It doesn't have to be some rando going on a tinder date. It could be your own spouse.
