Would a Match-Making Event Disguised as a Pie Baking Contest Trick Men Into Attending?

It wouldn't work for me because I don't bake pies. My advice though, use a buffet, you can use round tables which accommodate 6 people and put 3 men and 3 women at the same table.

And you can put a whole lot of pie in the center of that round table.

It has to be a meat pie for men to attend.

Options - potato top, mince and cheese, steak and kidney, steak and mushroom, butter chicken, mince.

The meat pies need to be fresh, and it has to happen at lunchtime.

Every man has to eat one pie and give their assessment to the ladies. The assessment will be, how quickly they can eat the pie, what noises they make while eating it, and whether they can eat it with one or two hands without making a mess.
 
Had a pie for lunch. It was pepper steak. Dad had mince and cheese.
