Putin stated that he would take Ukraine in a matter of days. Four years later, he's been fighting Ukraine for longer than Russia fought Nazi Germany. Putin has managed to to fail every goal that he set for himself. As long as Europe keeps supporting Ukraine and America keeps out of it, Ukraine will survive. Ukraine can handle Russia with Europe's help. Putin's lackeys in the White House are making life much more difficult.
Much of the West has a birthrate below the replacement rate, including Russia and Ukraine. Russia's casualty rate is much higher than Ukraine's. Russia uses violent criminals, deceives foreign nationals and sends invalids to the front lines.
The criminals responsible for the tragedy are Putin, his supporters in Russia and the nations that support Russia against Ukraine.
Marco Rubio said in Munich that the war should never have happened. He is right. But he ignores the fact that Ukraine was given security guarantees precisely to avoid the war that PUTIN started. America's shameful betrayal has led to vast numbers of casualties. Europe is little better.
Ukraine was badgered by Bill Clinton into giving up its nuclear arsenal, which was the world's third largest. Mr Clinton recently admitted it was a mistake.
Why would anyone trust an American government? Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Australia should have their own nuclear weapons by now. Germany also. France proved to be smart by having an independent nuclear force and ensuring it has its own arms industry.
