The only way to know God the father is to accept the gospel of Jesus Christ his son .The way to love God is by embodying His character traits, so for example the way to love justice is by being a doer of justice, the way to love holiness is by being a doer of God's instructions for how to be holy as He is holy, and so forth. In other words, the goal of everything that God has instructed is to teach us how to love different aspects of His character traits, which is why the Bible repeatedly states in both the OT and the NT that the way to love God is by obeying His commandments. The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact likeness of His character, which he embodied through his works by setting a sinless example for us to follow of how to walk in obedience to the Law of Moses, so the way to love the Father is exactly the same as the way to love the Son. For example, in John 14:23-24, Jesus said that if we love him, then we will obey his teachings, if we don't love him, then we will not obey his teachings, and that his teachings were not his own but that of the Father, so he did not teach his own commandments. Likewise, in John 15:10, Jesus used a parallel statement to equate his commandments with that of the Father, so Jesus was not in disagreement with the Father about which commandments we should follow.
In Matthew 4:4, Jesus said that man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God, so there is no justification for thinking that the commands of Jesus are not in perfect accordance with every word that has come from the mouth of God.
“No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.”
John 1:18 KJV
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.”
John 14:6-7 KJV
you are missing a lot about the law
“Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions,
till the seed should come to whom the promise was made;
and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator. Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one.”
Galatians 3:19-20 KJV
“Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers: who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it.”
Acts 7:52-53 KJV
When you read Moses law you have to realize this part
“Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.”
Exodus 23:20-21
So for instance
“And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man that gathered sticks upon the sabbath day. And the LORD said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp. And all the congregation brought him without the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died; as the LORD commanded Moses.”
Numbers 15:32, 35-36 KJV
to know Gods judgement and dispostion towards us we have to look at Jesus so in the law it’s this angel ordaining things
“Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: “
But the gospel is ordained from this disposition
“And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”
Jeremiah 31:34 KJV
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
1 John 1:9 KJV
“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;”
Acts 3:19 KJV
It’s like you have never heard of the promise of a new covenant or haven’t heard of Christ the law giver
