Greetings My Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

Happy Friday to everyone! Since many will be celebrating Valentine's Day this weekend, I pose these questions to all CHRISTIAN singles: Do you feel that God divinely intervenes in your dating life, and if so, why and how?

I'm convinced that people come into your life and leave it completely at God's Will . Everything in this life is a learning experience .

What is the difference ? I'm not being facetious , I'm.english .
Maybe dating is to just have fun but in courtship, you get to know the other person, who they are and what they are about. Important in considering pursuing an enduring and intimate relationship that may lead to marriage. Dating is for the fun stuff, but that person may not have your back if and when tough times come.

I have certainly learned a lot about relationships, especially when led by the grace of God.

I think with the Falling Away it will be more dangerous to date someone we don't really know, esp. in church
How is it dangerous "dating" someone in church? I feel like it's more dangerous "dating" in the world rather than in church because in church yk that person,yk his/her intentions than someone in the world. Hence why I mentioned courtship cause it's pure and has good intentions. I mean it is a form of dating, but that relationship leads to marriage unlike dating "just for the fun of it". Yes I admit some ppl tht date end up getting married, but why take 5+years to get married?and most of the times these relationships are unhealthy. Prove me wrong.

My policy on dating is to not waste your time dating someone that you would not consider marrying.

It's been many years since I've participated in the world of dating, but I always dated a girl that I enjoyed being with. I never thought about marriage at the time. When I met my wife, I knew without a doubt that she was the woman that I would spend the rest of my life with. Three months later we were married. I took the bus 85 miles every weekend to date her. It's been over 65 years, and I'd do it all over again.

The Lord leads in all kinds of interactions.
The last "date" I was on, maybe a year ago, was not planned and I didn't know the person. We simply sat at a picnic table across from each other because it was the only place to sit while waiting. We were complete strangers. We had a pleasant conversation that went on for a long time, so I called it a "date". That's how my dates normally went in the past when attending a church activity, the singles ministry I used to have or wherever. It's a way to get to know someone and to share with them some things about self.
I just wish that I led her to Christ because that was the reason I believe that He put us there. I learned that I need to make that the priority, to share the gospel clearly and lead in prayer before leaving. After all that might be the last chance.
