It is quite clear that we sin,
1 John 2:1-2
1 My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 2 And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.
And it is quite clear we are forgiven of our sin.
Paul makes it quite clear that we should not use grace as a license to sin.
Those who do use grace as a license to sin need to read or told to read what Paul says in Romans.
Those who want to be like Jesus will ask the Holy Spirit for help.
Genuine belivers will sin but will want to sin less.
And drinking alcohol is not a sin.
And you with them just like the Pharisees.
You cast judgement.
That's Gods job not yours.

Someone like me who had a gambling problem, you probably wouldn't ask why.

All of the stats you listed are also 100% related to poor decisions. Alcohol has never done any of those things on its own. Besides statistics with no quoted source are worthless. I assume you completely made them up. I know for sure Americans spend over 200 billion a year on alcohol so you’re way off. And according to the NIAAA alcohol related suicides is only 1 in 4 so you’re 50% off on that one.
The alcohol industry also provides over 4 million jobs in the U.S.
By your logic, there are no instructions on eating in the NC either, so you must be pretty hungry?
